NEW 2021 DS 4 review: Steve Sutcliffe drives France\'s answer to the Mercedes A-Class - Auto Express BeyerT1: What I don't like about DS cars is the ride, even when they were still sold as Citroens, they were too stiff and overly sporty, instead of going for the expected comfortable approach. I remember test driving the DS5 when it came out expecting it to be a super comfy car, only to realize it had a ride like it had wooden stumps for springs, terrible ride compared to the C5 which was far cheaper. I think that's a big mistake, because someone who wants a stiff and sporty premium car will buy a BMW or an Audi instead, but there's no premium car for someone who wants something super comfortable and soft.

Absolutely stunning! - drives great, seats are very comfortable - they're like armchairs and very supportive. My only negatives are that the back doors only open a little bit, cheapest leather material used for interior dashboards to get easy scratch and also the rear seat space is a bit tight, not ideal for kids or and car seats. It doesn't hold its resale value very well, but apart from that it's a great car.

Just a couple of things i want to say. First, hats off to the French for keeping their car industry in French hands. The British did have the upper hand many moons ago but decided, sadly, to sell, sell, sell. Second, i still think even this DS will lose value a lot but that is not so bad because you will be able to buy them used in a couple of years at a cracking price.

Not everyone wants bumpy stiff ride just to claim first place in the dash from street light to street light with his 350 bhp+ super -hot hatchback- not to mention that the autobahn exists only in Germany and even there the average speed is 140-50 km/h. Good job Citroen, really good job.

how can you call this a review when you just sit in the front passenger seat the whole time. you don't even look at the rear seats ( which is something that buyers in this segment will be particulary intersted in. no wonder carwow gets so many more viewers than u guys do

Deze weet eerste keer in bezetten ik vind de auto binnen en buiten super. het enige minpuntje dat er achteraan iets te weinig plaats is als ik achter me zelf zit met 186 CM. Toch vindt ik het de mooiste van zijn klasse

Ds is really shining against the Germans. Mercedes look blobby, audi looks way too overdesigned and bmw is just plain ugly now. Ds is really standing up to lexus with this design

you buy this DS and french poeple buy your nice range rover. Let's stop economic battle france, uk and let search win win solution. Fed up to hear bad news between france and uk.

Unpainted door panels visible inside. You can not have that red metal peeking through on a premium car. This is a pet peeve of mine, but none of my cars had this nonsense.

3: 40 gives me the horrors. Fiddling with his touch screen in the face of oncoming traffic while going round a bend he almost drifts into the verge.
