we get to replace the cat back exhaust on a '94 Ford Ranger 3. 0 2wd and we also get to play around with a new tool I bought a month or so ago. Plus we take a small look at gas welding. Want a kit like the one I showed you?

I was a welder/ fabricator for 15 years, some of the guys that called themselves welders couldnt have done as good of a job as you did with the oxy/ acetylene welding. Im impressed, maybe they were better mechanics. Prolly not.

He's just showing off the first time he uses this fancy tool. Good job! I bet Amazon is nearly sold out of this pipe expansion set. So many orders, it crashed the website. He swings a hammer better than many carpenters.

On that exhaust pipe expander: you could put the TOOL in a vise and that way you wouldn't crush the pipe. Maybe grind some flats on the tool's large collar to better hold it in the vise jaws. Love the vids.

Eric, have you tried spraying penetrating oil on electrical fittings when you have trouble getting them apart? It has worked well for me. By the way this comment is unrelated to this episode.

You know if you had a pipe vice clamp you wont crunch or bend up your pipe.
and just so you know i have seen the barrings for that tool explode so you may what to have extra on hand.

Should the muffler installed flat (inlet and outlet on same elevation) to prevent condensate from building up. Im not a muffler man, but just sayin. Thanks. Mike C

HAHhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, Syumbled across this old but godie! I hope you can still dig and stick weld. Love watching the acetylene welding

actually brazing exhaust systems is the proper way, but too time consuming so we mig it aswell. But the braze will never rust or corrode!

I really appreciate that you show the boo-boos that are commonly run into, and how to work around the problem without just throwing money at it.
