Got A/C? Well this guy didn't and he didn't have any heat coming out of the vents either. Matter of fact he didn't have any air flow at all! The blower motor was running so I had a pretty good idea as to what was going on. Lets have a look. Like that super bright light I was using? Get your own right here

Silly design filter, on my car the filter is after the blower and is vertically installed filter so When you take it out large stuff like leaves just simply drop out of the hole, you take the filter out of as it's under the glove compartment not in the glove compartment and my fan is twist locked in so super easy to take out to inspect it and get access to the air inlet to remove the leaves off that as well
You should change the air filter every 5000 to 10000 miles more so if you car lives under a tree often ( I was not aware of a cabin filter before myself but now as I get it if your vehicle has air-con there's an extremely high chance it will have one because it's there two more protect the air conditioning systems and anything else well as well as filter particulates like micro exhaust emissions but you should fly the carbon filters not the cheap ones as the active carbon filters can filter out pretty small particles where is the cheap white ones there just to stop leaves from getting into your air conditioning system)

OMG thanks so very much! I've been driving around in the dammm cold here at Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I cleaned inside my hood few days back but it didn't do much. After watching this video I went straight outside to my SUV and I got my partner to open up the glove department, I cleaned it out and haven't tested if it made any difference, I went inside to grab a smoke and my partner stayed outisde. As I was getting ready to go back outside he came in so so happy! He's like fkn rights love I got it going. I was like what the! how did you do that? He said he banged on it a bit and the air suction part turned on. oh my what a damn relief. I know if I went in to see the Mechanics I know for sure he would of ripped me off and add some more parts blah blah blah. I don't trust Mechanics. DIY'ers who share on youtube/online are the bomb. Thank you so much

My toyota has a filter slot but there no filter in it. Apparently there was a toyota service bulletin for my model that there would be some kind of overheat somewhere if a filter was installed so I roll without one. Probably why the dash gets so damn dusty but whatever. I should probably use a mirror to look inside the blower box to see if theres a bunch of shit in there

Most fords from around 2010 and beyond will have one. Most of the cars I've seen them in are behind the glove box or some are under the center of the dash behind a panel on the passenger side floor. That panel is usually held in by 1 torx/star head screw at the bottom. Hard part of those is getting the new one in

There are replacement doors that you don't have to pull the dash. yes, I know. I've got a Dodge. But my wife's car. when new the dealer kept telling me the cabin air filter was needing to be changed. Only problem was it wasn't an option on that model. No cabin filter.

My 2003 Hyundai Tiburon had the option, the car did not come with a filter. In the 10yrs I owned I was too cheap to buy one. Fan always worked fine and I never noticed any extra dust or crap in the car.

Wish my old 2nd gen had one of them filter's. 250k miles now my Ac interior rad is plugged with dirt. Guess I'll try cleaning it in the truck with some kind of cleaner

I am just a averagecivilian and am very impressed by your work. I can't help but be wondering roughly how much you earn yearly for all your good work. just curious

Sitting here in judgment not keeping up with maintenance. realize that I've never changed the cabin air filter in 11 years of owning my truck.
