Eric, I need advice/or confirmation I work on people's vehicles and equipment as secondary income and have for near 2 decades and have somehow been blessed as the guy to go to for electrical Gremlins (YAY) anyway I have a mental disorder in which when I diagnose problems for people it's a standard process however when it's my vehicle and it's a rather expensive repair I get caught in this circle of doubting my diagnosis lol, I have a 03 f150 4. 6 2v 2wd I have had for 14 years and have put over 380000 miles on her still drive daily as primary service truck I have noticed a loss in power gradually within last year or so I do burn about a qt. Of oil a week (70miles each day) but otherwise routine maintenance is up to snuff, now in the mornings she runs pretty smooth until about 30 miles away up a particular hill I have detonation if I don't let off the throttle, on the way back home is alot of traffic and idling after about 20 miles into town I start feel her slightly stumbling when idling and continues to worsten the rest the way home then my blend doors will start to pop in the dash only at idle in traffic and then I have real low power pulling out. I don't have the fancy diagnostic equipment you do but what I do know is fuel psi is stable, vac is stable before I leave BUT. my scan tool says engine load is 50% first thing before I even take off and I'm convinced I have stopped up cats, I think what's happening is driving to work in the morning is near no traffficby the time I get to that mountain is when exahust is getting stuck in the cylinder causing pinging up the hill and on the way back idling through town for 2 hours is backing up possibly causing mild vac fluctuations to my blend doors and preventing fresh air into cyl. I have no DTC's, the cat assembly is 800 I should have it by mid week and with the miles/valve seals she needs it anyway whats your opinion, thanks

Eric - I truly enjoy your informative and educational videos and I would never insinuate you talk too much - nooooo. Just one question: When you and the wife spend some amorous alone time, do you narrate everything you're doing? Just asking.

Wouldnt it be great if, every consumer product that has electricity in it. Has to have correct wireing diagram on its user manual by the law?

with all the background noise I can only think Ms O has taken things into her own hands again. You may have to give her mechanics pay also.
