Good thing I just had a brand new computer flashed and installed to fix my air conditioner and a few other electrical issues! Ground was shorted. Also, that dirtymax rattles like something else, I don't think my old car with the majority of the bushings showing dry rot rattles that much!

You have great content Eric! I really enjoy your videos, and learn a lot. Is that specific dtc available on snap on scan tools to see if the specific dtc had passed? That's a great function! Also what scan tool was that you were using?

One question from a non-mechanic customer: do repair shops charge for the updates? or are they something that is just done? /hidden costs or 'must be included'? I have an '03, so don't have that kind of engine/computer YET.

Just last week I came across a video (others since then) showing how to update your Windows 7 machines to 10 for FREE. The update does require a few hours to download and update but it does work. No new license required.

Don't use Paint - try a program called GreenShot you can hit the PrintScreen key and it can save a screenshot to jpg automatically & display on your screen. I use it at work daily and it is very helpful.

When you decide to update to Win10, you may want to just purchase a new laptop with 10 installed. Some of those 7 machines are not happy with 10 and software may be hit and miss. I hate computers. HA!

If you put a later model engine in it, should you flash ECM for car year, or engine year?
I put a '96 engine in my '95 SL1 saturn. Just had to add a water temp sensor as far as the head changes.

Windows 7 is a great OS as far as Microloth goes. It beats Windows 10 hands down. I'd stick it out with Windows 7.
To be fair 80, 000 is a very high mileage for a GM vehicle.

A good idea would be to make the sure the owner doesnt have a performance program/tuner installed, otherwise when you update the vehicle it will erase the performance tune.
