I have a look at a Chevy 2500HD with a Duramax that the customer complaint was the AC stopped working. He told me it had no power going to the AC compressor. Well, he was right, m but we found out why

Love your, how should I say this, your tutorials. I also like your saying- If I can do it, you can do it. For me, That might have been true 40 years ago. Just can't move and bend like I did in the old days. The last work I did on a vehicle was my wife's 2000 blazer. Replaced the radiator and the fuel filter. The radiator was easy, but the fuel filter got me. I swear there was enough room between the torsion bar and frame, and the should have been, but my fingers could no longer make the bends. The torsion bar needed to be further in. Really pissed me off. Max frustration. On a second note, you're spoiled! If I asked my wife what's for lunch, her response would be, So what are going to get or what are you making. You are truly a gifted young man.

I have about the same problem with my 2016 2500HD diesel. The AC just quit the compressor seems ok the clutch is spinning but both lines are hot. I checked the freon ok changed the relay fuses are good. guess it's time to throw money at it at the dealer. Going in for an oil change.

How would i have fixed it? Just like my Dad did on his Ford Torino in the 70s when I was 10. Get 2 clothes pins take them apart so you have 3 wood wedges, get a hammer and pound them in the compressor so it has 100% duty cycle.

I'm stoked you have embraced my complement. You are indeed the Bob Ross of auto repair. I must not have been the only one to make the comparison.
