Gm should be ashamed of themselves. I been on the list for a rocket arm since last year. GM does not make this part anymore. So I can not passed emissions because of this part. I don't know what to do. I been calling around so many dealerships they said that they have a waiting list as well. I paid money for the rocker arm.

these hi-tec cars are bs, they have more electronic crap than a B52 and it does not matter who or what country makes them. each one is as good as the other and better. my good lord Eric how do you deal with it all. thank you for the lesson and the entertainment Dennis in Vancouver Washington

I have a 2013 Ford taurus check engine light came on took it to autozone they said it needed a catalytic converter so then I took it to my mechanic they did all there tests and found that the pigtail that goes to the variable valve timing solenoid was damaged by Ford lol

You're just one tech (Though a damn good one, GM every year has hundreds of freshly graduated engineers all trying to get recognized creating a new issue to make the company money on both the parts and service side. You're outnumbered by scumbags.

Scotty Kilmer was right. Chevy used to make good cars and trucks. Not so much now. I thought I would never say this. I will stick to Toyotas. My wife passed away in 2015 and I drive her 2011 Toyota Camry and it has never had any Issues at all.

I was successful in troubleshooting a faulty ignition switch in my 05 Colorado using a pair of wiretaps, a test light and a ProDemand wiring diagram thanks to you. I appreciate the detailed laymans approach to diagnostics. Thank you sir.

Being able to adapt and learn the basics of any system on the fly is what makes a good drivability guy. If you understand how an item works you can easily decide yes the part is good or bad.

Dang bro, im 67 my first cars back in the day (mostly foreign stuff) a tune up a compression test, replace sparks, wires, etc and adjust the valve lash and fiddle with the carbs, and your done.

I would not want to touch a car that belonged to someone like the owner you described. That's the kind of person who would blame you if something totally unrelated failed a month later.
