I have been watching and learning a ton for you. I know yall deal with a ton of rust but here in New Jersey it almost seems to be getting out of hand. Have been dealing with an 09 yota highlander both front wheel bearings and damn they have not been goin well. Both press in got everything apart but the rust even between the bearing and spindle is unbelievable. The spindle is pitted beyond belief. Love what your doing here and Ive been adding notes to my book.

I have done the dance class thing. I have been married for 31years.
I have learned, It is in your best interest to make occasional deposits into the wife bank.
If you fail to make regular wife bank deposits. You may be penalized.
Those penalties can be excessive.
Give her a 20 minute listen too every couple of days. ( Dont try to solve any thing. just listen)
And a dance class or flower look every once in a while.
Should be good.

Well, we may not know how he's gonna die, but we do know that he will be missing vision in one or both eyes when he does. Exploding metal shards all around from an impact wrench and no eye protection. You can't help these kinds of folks from massive self-injury. It just needs to happen I guess so they can have a story to tell their grandkids about how grampy lost his eyesight.

Had a CV spline do this (in Australia on an otherwise zero rust car weirdly, had to pull the whole knuckle and driveshaft and take to a machine shop. They said they nearly broke their press! Hub was toast, splines lost metal to the corrosion. CV spline was ok after I chipped all the metal from the hub spline out of its splines.
Cant imagine how tough it must be if thats normal life!

My boss book me 1 hour for a wheel bearing replace, in comes a rusty broken ass car. Everything is rust welded. After that hour and still trying to assemble the car, next customer comes mad as hell wanting me to let everything go to the ground and help him.
Always that time that's just derails.

What would happen if I just left the 1 bad bearing and lived with the rubbing sound? I'm not even sure if it is a bad bearing. Any ideas? It occured after 1/2 yard of gravel load. It's an old truck and I only use it for 2 miles every week.

My first attempt doing a wheel bearing ended badly, wasted a new 40 bearing and probably 3-4 hours. second attempt was after I realized I could get a low miles knuckle from a junkyard shipped to my door for 55 had it installed in 45 minutes.
