My wife was raised on a 450 acre dairy farm in Oxford, Pennsylvania. (Chester County) Her family used John Deere tractors and Massey Ferguson combines w/40 foot wide heads. They grew acres of soybeans, Feed corn, alfalfa, wheat, cobbler potatoes, and every other vegetable you possibly think up, it sure as hell aint, an easy life!

They have a product to load your tires with now instead of chloride, it's called RIM GUARD, it's beet juice, heavier than chloride, and if it leaks it won't corrode your rim. I have that in all of my two wheel drive tractors.

When I worked in Fort McMurray the mine haulers would burn their way through a set of tires every month to month and a half. SIx tires at 60, 000 per tire.
