Come along with Eric O. at the SMA repair shop as we do a quick diagnosis on this 2006 Dodge Caliber with the infamous DTC P2004 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open. We also get to see a small example as to why having two scan tools is a good thing as the Snap-On Verus fails again. PART II: Copy Of TSB

Eric my question is if you change the intake runner control actuator does the pcm need to be reflashed? Changed one for a buddy of mine about a year and a half ago. Well now its back with the P2004 and P2016 code plus the slow response of down stream O2 sensor. Pulled the actuator and checked runner flap its not stuck. Any help would be great. Im up here in Rochester not far from you love your videos man. Thanks!

Great Video! I. M. R. C. They can be fun. When another tech changed the engine, he didn't know about the I. M. R. C. Motor, mounted down low at the rear of the engine, breaks one or more of the 20 gauge IMRC wires so they couldn't be seen, and I got it! Complete with the damaged, original intake manifold. 2005 Ford Expedition. What a learning curve! BUT. I fixed it.

Thank you for your honest opinion i was thinking of getting a verus pro to replace my vantage pro and maxidas but i am going towards buying maxysis pro and keeping the vantage pro. This is the real world tests i was wanting to see. some mechanics are brand loyal but some times there are other brands that work better.

I was thinking of something that may save time. They make these new test lights. You connect the power and ground to it. And depending if you touch a positive or ground a different color light lights up. I got mine at O'rilies if I remember right. Works nice. I got it because i bought a Chrysler. And wiring issues.

Snap-on is far too big to listen to it's customers, it wouldn't be economically viable, they'd lose money having to fix the problem or at the very least add to the programming. Grip away maybe, just maybe if enough people complain they might listen. Good luck. Thanks for the video.

Playing' vid catch-up after vacation. I'm way behind!
Snap-On sounds like a subsidiary of GM - building overpriced stuff that doesn't do what it's supposed to. Par for the course! Glad I grabbed the Autel.
