I show you how I replace a broken sway bar in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala. I use a sway bar kit that comes with new sway bar bushings, sway bar links and a new sway bar itself. Wanna See More Suspension Videos?

4: 06 Pretty easy job. yea when you got a lift and all the tools you need at your fingertips =) Anywho, I've been driving around without those links and a busted sway bar for lord knows how long cuz the only time I attempted this I thought you had to come in from the tire. I was pretty sure you had to remove the knuckle from the suspension, anywho after all that nonsense and finally getting the link off the passenger side, it kept spinning, to find out the driver's side not only had none but the dang sway bar was broke too. I only bought new links so I said forget about it, I'm done. Well, now I know better. What really makes this a huge pain for me is setting up a bunch of plywood in my gravel driveway for my jack and jack stands.

I couldn't help but notice that was a Dorman sway bar kit. Eric, I hate Dorman with a passion that rivals yours all day. So I gotta ask, did you panic a little when that sway bar kit installed without a fight and did you do a countdown on the warranty period and maybe cry a little on the inside when that kit actually made it to the end of warranty? I haven't done one of these ol' sway bar kits in a long time so I was actually traumatized a little when it went in so smoothly and found a sense I could count on this part not to fail for once. Is this a sign of the apocalypse?

Don't need to drop the engine cradle/subframe! Just remove the castle nut from tie rods and move them up and out of the way. Makes the job for us guys that don't use a lift and are stuck doing this job on jacks and jack stands much much simpler! Plenty of room to remove and replace the swaybar! 07 Pontiac Grand Prix

Took me three hrs dicking around with rusted links an bushing strap bolts but I got mine out without dropping the sub frame just take off the passenger side tie rod end easy Peezy just remove the bushings and straps from the bar so they don't get caught up on anything

Good video, I can see the your personality relaxes the installer, especially when you say, If I can do it, you can do it. completed the job with this video. What was GM/Chevy thinking, hollow sway bars? This should have been a safety recall. Anyway, thank-you!

I wish were we lived, (The United States) we had great, intelligent, CERTIFIED MASTER MECHANICS, like you.
In my town, all you can find are mechanic shops that only employ illegal aliens, that mess up your car, worse, than before!

Who ever said you had to support the subframe? I slid my sway bar out from the side, and popped her right back in. I've been trying to figure out why people keep saying you have to support OR disassemble the subframe.

2002 Impala LS. Mine broke at around 70, 000 miles. Great car when everything works. And then breaks and then works and then breaks and then more. Nice car when everything works, oops another idiot light is on. .

Great video just did this fix and its is just as easy as he made it look. I dont have a lift so it did take a little longer than the 15min video, it is just this easy. Thanks for the video.

A new 2018 loaded Impala is 41, 000 now, and it's made out of JUNK. GM is committing suicide with these cars, no wonder no one wants to buy them. TheReaper!
