I had a muffler shop fry my electric steering never disconnected the battery when welding it. Couldn't turn right, after I left and took it to dealer 900 later they had to change the whole steering column. The shop gave me every penny back, I still use that shop to this day even though they screwed up they were very professional and didnt try screwing me honesty goes a long way with me.

The other mechanic was in there unpluggn the battery which is right next to the RIM module. Could the key have been left on when they unpluggd it or was there something else they could have done while they were in there to short out the module? I guess well never know. Good thorough diagnosis Eric. Ya left no doubt in my mind the RIM is bad.

Hydrogen Sulfide isn't dangerous at all. Well- who cares if the fumes will corrode just about _anything_ they contact, and in high enough concentrations (under a seat) can become explosive? Cooter was probably smokin while he was installing that overpriced upsold half dead battery! How do these Shops stay in business? SMH

Oh boy, Schroedinger's Box would disapprove----you didn't break out the chalkboard and scientific notation calculator. Instead, you used diagnostic methods in the field that actually work. Keep on doing what you're doing---you're a guy that gets things done: )

Why i have interest in your videos isnt only because your content. Its how you talk and such. I dont like eric the car guy because his voice and how he do stuff. Scannerdanner is good and entertaining aswell he talks good. Gives good advices. Papadakis is great aswell.

Please do an update if you got the ok to fix it. I'm curious if the module is plug and play or has to be flashed. I have a customer with an 03 Park Ave that has a bad RIM, but I have yet to find 1 used, and GM doesn't make it anymore. THX for all you do!

Hello sir I just got a 2000 Buick lesabre one owner and I have no power to the windows or locks or Morris other than that everything works I changed relays fuses I get some power but not a lot of power to move the windows or Morris what could it be?

Excellent video Buick lesabres and Park Avenue do not have air ride suspension but you know that good call on that module I knew that right away you should do a video with Misses oh and Hannah together doing something that would be awesome

Is it possible for reverse lights to not work but interior lights work but still have a bad RIM? My reverse lights and license plate lights have not worked in a long time. Changed bulbs and checked fuses and both did not fix problem.
