Mine would definitely act up lol. I wish you were in Indiana, I have been struggling trying to diagnose my pilot on my own without a cel on but just began showing a pending code of P1399. Funny you said something about the torque converter lock up and misfires because mine will not stay locked up/ go into lock up. I can feel a miss at idle and loss of power plus it's getting hot but temp gauge reads normal. Not positive but the oil seems to have a fuel smell and gets really liquidy fast so I've been changing it very often to avoid damage in case there is dilution. I did change the tcc solenoid so am debating on putting the old back in to see if it will go into overdrive and lock in. Fuel trim at rear sensor seems too high but other than a lean condition where its adding fuel I don't know what is causing it. I just started smelling that rotten egg smell today for a second on the interstate then it went away so I hope the cat is still okay. It's a first gen 2003 honda pilot with 230, 720 miles on it 3. 5 L vtech so if there is dilution on this it is rare

a2009 Pontiac g6 that made noises going over bumps after 3 hours of testing that involved the shop manager we talked to the customer and it was only in her immediate neighborhood we tried driving there and the only thing we could think was it was the 3 cobble stone streets in her immediate area and the car was 1000 miles from the 36000 warranty expiration. nothing like better fix it all the warranty is expiring I enjoy working on stationary equipment now and not cars.

My wife would tell me something was wrong with her car. I would drive it and not find anything wrong that I could tell. I would tell her when she was hearing or feeling something in her car to come back and get me so I could ride with her and have an idea what she was talking about! More times than not the problem would disappear and that would be that. I think that once I told her that her car was fine she didn't hear it anymore. lol

Hey I have a 2006 Buick Rendezvous CD and a crank, no start. No power to fuel pump and no power to the fuel pump relay. I'm new to mechanic work but am lost about what to do next. I've changed the relay, fuse, fuel pump, fuse box, and I'm stumped. I tried checking fuses in the C1 connector in the fuse box and others work. I checked the wire from the fuse box to the PCM and got no power (fuel pump wire. Wondering if it's my PCM.

I bought an old supra couple states away. Everytime I'd take it up to 70mph it would overheat. Coolant was good. Was idling it at a parts store and I walked behind the exhaust and noticed one muffler wasnt puffing. Borrowed a drill from the store and knocked some holes in it and she ran like a champ all the way back. Great 900 rust free supra with 101k miles.

Saw YouTube videos where the mechanic took the lady's engine apart to diagnose the issue and then gave her back the van with the engine still apart with all of the parts thrown into the rear hatch because she did not return his call fast enough, he had it towed and dumped off at her house.

That's a Buick? Lordy, lordy, what the hell happened to American car design? Has the looks of a cheap Korean something. I'm European and in my mind American car brands still conjure up majestic and muscular cars of bygone days. Makes me sad.

Absolutely love S. M. A and the differences in diagnostic techniques. I'm a young mechanic and love learning different techniques aside from my mentor. Much love and respect to South main from up Toronto up in Canada!

Audis are so finicky. Had a check engine light come on after replacing the low pressure fuel pump. Only threw the code once. Customers always freak out; its a (used) Audi! Gotta love computer systems!
