For all of the viewers who talk trash on here, you probably live somewhere that the climate doesn't want to rot everything around it. In NY your brake rotors rust just sitting in the driveway overnight. So imagine now thousands of feet over a dragstrip length of wiring. And somewhere, somehow in that giant web of wires a small bit of the green crusties have set up residence on just a pin hole in a wire shielding causing the resistance in the wire to change throwing off the sensor readings. Good luck finding that needle in a haystack. I mean sure you could trace every single wire for days if it were your car and you had endless time. Eric is running a business, he has to charge by the hour, the labor would far exceed the value of the vehicle at that point.

When you were going through the activation on the front axle there was a delay between switching and activation. Do you think it could be possible when switching between the various modes there could be a slight delay as well? Then if you switched the modes too fast could you possibly be creating a momentary short between two modes causing the code to set? Once set nothing will work until reset and you stated it should reset automatically; but, going through the flow chart it can ONLY be reset by a scan tool! I went back and read through it several times to be sure.
You may be able to make it set the code by rapidly changing modes or accidentally hitting 4h and 4l at same time!
I may be totally wrong but would be worth a check!

Built new house miles from civilization. Average service call charge 400 just to get someone here. Problems with electricity shutting off/on back section of house, randomly. Finally found the problem after several service calls. Main 12/3 yellow wire 25 feet long from breaker to back section was defective. No spices, not junction boxes, inside the yellow protective cover he opened it up and cooper wire was broken getting intermittent connection. He found it be accidentally stepping on the wire in attic and suddenly the power came on as I was yelling, YOU FIXED IT.

I know what you are experiencing: I have a 1978 Honda motorcycle in my shop right now. Been trying to get it running properly for over three months. Twice it had it running great and both times when the customer came to pick it up, it crapped out before they could get it home. Each time was for a different reason (both of them different than the original problem. It's ready to be picked up for a third time and it had better run for a LONG time because I'm ready to quit.

Hey Eric. You haven't lived unless you wore ( to school) a 1982 era headgear to correct an overbite!
But seriously, good for you and thanks for sharing a bit of your personal life.
As my dentist always told my kids. Just brush the ones you wanna keep. Your smile is the most important part of your uniform!
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Would love to see Trinity's new saddle! Thanks sharing your expertise and knowledge!

Quality content as always. What would be nice sometime for a layman like me a brief explanation as to why or how you pick the scan tool for each application. I ve seen in past videos that the autel sometimes isn t completely compatible but it almost seems like you use a different scan tool for almost every video just wondering why and or how you decide which one to use/start with

Being a hunter I'll take a guess that you have hunted groundhogs. Do you know what kills more of them than anything, patience to lay in the hot sun and wait on the little buggers. Something you have plenty of!

ERIC: TO INCREASE clicks of the videos, ask MRS. O to introduce every video. She can describe the vehicle with the problems. She should wear a different outfit every video. The new outfits are tax deductible.

when you were reading off the diagnosis sheet it stated that only 2wd was available if a dtc was set. When you cleared the dtc syre enough it all worked. Maybe a 1 second blip on the atc?

Simplest thing first, always. Most times it's in the selector switch. Switches fail from use often. They aren't made to last like the workings of a TC. Then go from there.
