The problem lays with the tune of the M5. It was tuned by evolve which is the worst tuning company to exist on planet earth. Every video I've come across with one of their cars has always failed miserably on launches or is unable to put the full power down. They are very unreliable. I wouldn't call it tuning I'd call it de-tuning since the old shape M5 F90 CS did the 1/4 mile in 10. 8 seconds and this newer model with all it's 1000bhp only managed 10. 4 seconds. Says it all really.

i was sure there would be no competition between these two, there is a 1400 POUND DIFFERENCE. To me this is one of the worst bmw ever made. It's heavy ugly, it doesn't have that 5 series shape anymore, looks like a camry from the back. If u watch the M5 generations drag race, you'll see that the performance had steadily increased over the years, every M5 being faster than the previous one. This is the first generation where the previous f90 is actually faster than this boat

I genuinly think the fault with the bmw is the shifts of the gearbox. If you look carefully, the Ferrari pulls a gap on the bmw each time it upshifts. almost like how a car pulls more foward when it's an auto vs manual kind of race

Considering the BMW has 750kg more than the Ferrari and is less aerodynamic, I'm very surprised! The difference between them is not that big. In a 1/2 mile race, they practically arrived together.

Something wrong with that M5’s transmission. Either that, or else it’s definitely not pumping out 1, 000 hp. Still, nothing beats the SF90 other than a couple of the hyper electric cars.

Ferrari SF90 all day long, it's no competition for me, BMW porkiness can't be helped by adding power, BMW really needs to rethink it's strategy of making M models just so damn heavy

I'm 1000% sure it's not 1000hp, the other one was doing 9. 6s and the one your driving now is doing a 10. 4s. That's almost a full second slower than the previous one.

Of course whoever studied the design of this BMW M5 has some eye problems. I have never seen anything uglier, disproportionate and disgusting than this car.

I'll bet that if you roll both cars with a correction factor that will show 1000 for the SF90, that BMW will do 950, at best. Typical tuner car.

10, 4 in a 1020HP Car. So even a 911Turbo S could beat the BMW. There is no way that this is 1020Hp. Looks like 800 or so.

The Ferrari is also more aerodynamic, as the speed builds, it's pushing a lot less air. Plus the beamer is 634kg heavier!
