Mat-s got his hands on a Ford Transit MS-RT, and he-s going head-to-head against a Mercedes Vito! So which will come out on top? Well starting with the Ford, it-s powered by a 2-litre Diesel engine that can deliver 184hp & 415Nm of torque. It-s pretty heavy, weighing in at 2. 2 tonnes, and it also comes with a sporty body kit and a couple of interior upgrades, although we don-t think these will help in this battle! As for the Mercedes, it-s down on power, with its 1. 8-litre turbo diesel putting down 134hp & 330Nm of torque. It-s lighter than the Ford, too, tipping the scales at 2 tonnes. What-s more, that-s not the end of the battle- The winner of the first challenge needs to go toe-to-toe with the new VW Transporter! With a 2-litre turbo diesel under the bonnet, it can deliver 206hp & 450Nm! Which do you think will come out on top? There-s only one way to find out- LET-S TUG!

I-ve just had a transit hire van because my vito was damaged I couldn-t stand the transit the fly wheel was to light, it kept stalling all the time the brake master cylinder was also to small the brakes had no feel there just on or off and as for the handling o boy they are bad very rough ride, if you hit a bump mid corner you end of the road. I can-t believe Ford are still using Roman suspension they-ve actually still got leaf spring on. -

I dont understand it. A couple of times as a kid I put some cardboard against the front wheel spokes on my bicycle. making it almost sound like some kind of engine.
That was fun when I was maybe 6 years old. And I always removed it not much later. Because that's how not that fun I actually thought it was in the long run. as a 6 year old.

I personally think the standard highest spec transit (Limited) is much better, it has more tech, you can get it with 130hp or 170hp with a 6-speed auto or a 6-speed auto. It also is much much cheaper, more like around 37k, I don-t think there is any point in buying one of those aftermarket bodykit transits.

I dont know wos clever idea was to make tug of war at grass with FRONT WHEELS driven cars. From the start it was known that the result will be random as hell. Tug of war on grass appeals only to 4x4 driven cars to test their 4x4.

This is one of the models that this brand has
It's great and fantastic
It's a pity that you don't have a 4-cylinder engine Gasoline and Electric together
VW has the new T7 I hope Mercedes shows what it's worth

Matt, these tug of war are never fair while relying on a tow hitch that's not at the centre of the rear like a tow bar. otherwise there is a reduction in effective grip on the opposite side from the tow hitches.

Mat you did this last time with a Mercedes vito smaller why you not got the Mercedes vito 119 sport with 190 bhp come on you did this in your last van wars use a smaller vito powered van disappointing

Why on earth are these tugs done on muddy grass don-t think you will get very consistent results like this your actually just testing weight and tire traction on wet grass

Top of the range ford and VW vs bottom of the range Mercedes. Luckily it wasn't Vito sport it would of had the ford for breakfast.

The Ford and VW cost more than an entry level Toyota Landcruiser 300 in Australia? No level of accessories makes that good value.
