Kia and Hyundai are really gonna be the companies that tempt me over to electric car ownership it would seem. Polestar/Volvo/Tesla/Mercedes etc just dont do it for me (Dont get me wrong, theyre nice cars but as an example the Volvo C40 electric only is a smallish car in a big body and is rather expensive. This Niro is a good size for the 38 grand that the 2 model would set you back. I dont understand how the EV6 is 4 grand more for the base model despite probably being less practical.
I'd love to know Matts opinion on which EV would be the best VfM if you wanted a car that could do 200+ miles on a charge from all of the manufacturers (Something that would cater to the kind of person who normally owns an estate car for practicality reasons)

Clever use of a black panel above the sill to disguise the car s height. Height is needed for the batteries but the pane tricks the eye into breaking up what would just be a slab of side. You do see other EV s with a black sill to do the same trick.

All my life I ve heard that Kia are bad cars, in my language we say Kan Ikke Anbefales (KIA) as in can t recommend it.
But why is it? Kia still isn t a car brand I would look to buy, but why is it, that it has the stigma of being bad?

The headrest have 4 different depth settings. You just pull it towards your head and once its has reached the most forward position the next pull will reset it back to furthest position.

Whilst it looks great, it's almost impossible to get any electric car in 2022. I think the shortage will ease next year, with more models on the market. So I'm waiting till 2023 / 24.

lane departure warning is litteraly on the steering wheel. Hold it for a few seconds to turn it off. (press it if you want to turn on lane keeping assist aswell)

My near Kia dealer had one of those and i test drove it. It wasn't the electric version but the hybrid one, decent car, better than the older Niro models.

I thought Kia finally found a good style, but this one is probably the most ugliest Kia in recent memory imo. At least the interior looks nice.
