You can pull the seat down from the boot by using the much easier red handle on the back. My mom had a Grand C4 Picasso and I found it very easy to operate the seats.

You say that folding the seats is a faff and if you have screaming kids it takes too long but you just folded the whole car down in less than a minute? How is that a faff?
