The BMW 2 Series is a sporty coupe with lots of power - Mat gets behind the wheel to give you his verdict Matthew: I need some help-I'm fortunate to choose my first car, my choices are the 2 series(2016, 4 series(2016) and the Audi A4(2016 or 2017. The problem is like all of them. The Audi being the cheapest where I live and the 2 series & 4 series being quite expensive. The audi's interior makes me think that the it would be the best choice. But I want to hear more opinions before I make my choice. Would really appreciate it. Thanks -

I found out the front engine RWD is actually not very energy efficient. It-s great for handling but the longer the drive shaft to the wheels the more power is wasted. Take an air wrench for example. Once you add that long 12- extender on the socket suddenly there-s less power and torque to turn that lug nut. Automatics vs manual transmissions have a similar problem

BMW are known for their high servicing costs at least here in Australia. Apart from the BMW 1 can someone suggest a similar car that would be less extravigant? Note I currently drive an old Mazda 6 which is also has good handling (not as good as a BMW) and with a smaller engine lacks the power of this 2. Thanks

Paused the video at 3: 39 - is there something wrong with the front of the car? what kind of shut line is that? was the bonnet latch slightly open or something? look at the bonnet just above the headlamp cluster then trace the shut line across the front of the car - or worse, over the front left hand wing.

Just asking. Between BMW 218i Coupe VS Subaru BRZ at almost the same price, what would you go for? (Will be my daily) i do prefer maintainance cost which will be better and more cheaper to maintain, for fuel economy and performance im not into it much. Just asking you guys what would u choose?

i went with 3 series its better value now huge discounts on the 3 series for new model close to 2 series pricing while 2 series prices have skyrocketed lol not worth. Bigger interior, no floating handling, and better looks all go to 3 series.

Great video Matt! Hate to be that guy but I feel you can't rename a 2016 video '2018' when the car has been updated since this video was made? Sorry but these kind of things annoy me -monkey emoji with hands over eyes-

What did you do to the bonnet during the driving portion? Did the the camera man not notice that it sat crooked? It looks like you jammed something under the left corner and slammed it shut.

My dad has an Audi tt and I have to ride in the back on the way to school and by the time I get there my head is a 90 degree angle to my body. The 2 looks much better in the back

The gap in the left side of bonnet is huge, like 2cm or so. whats going on? (it is not visible during all the driving part, but only some. Perhaps the bonnet doesnt close properly all the time?
