people buy bmws for the driver experience, every review site/publication moaning about rear leg room have finally got their wish. BMW had an excuse to change to FWD which is absolutely scandalous to be honest. This car has lost it's USP for the sake of a bit of legroom. If you need rear legroom, you buy a bigger car! All these reviewers moaning about leg room will now moan about how sedate the car is to drive, despite what BS BMW say about how it's like driving a RWD car it just isn't. Even without talking about handling, in a straight line, the difference between being pushed forward from behind feels so much more exhilarating than being pulled forward from the front wheels. I know this as a fact when comparing the 2014 118d and a jaguar x-type 2. 2d 2009

Just got mine, brand new 2 days ago. Handling, steering, gear shift and visibility are terrible. You have to switch to gear 2 immediately or you will creat a build up behind you. Pedals are almost close to each other making your feet hit each other and Matt is right about pedals in weird position. I used to drive an Audi and never experience all of these. My verdict, Audi is better.

I have owned a 2019 120i for two years now. After about 6 months I'd had enough of the runt flats and ordered a new set of summer tyres. The change of tyres transformed the car. The tyre roar is almost gone. The engine is very quiet as well. No vibrations can be felt through the steering wheel. For a car of its size it is actually quite comfortable. And, it is so much fun to drive!

Just had one of these for a few days as a courtesy car from BMW dealer while mine was in for a service. It is an awesome car, super responsive and fun to drive, was so surprised by how much I loved it, mine is a 430d, wouldn't trade it for that, but I would certainly recommend this to anyone thinking of buying. I loved it for the few days I had it.

This video needs to be renamed, the review is of a 2016 LCI1 car, the LCI2 car came out with 67 plates so a 2018 would be an LCI2 car. The easiest way to tell the difference is if you look at the interior cup holders, there is no slider like the LCI2. Although the differences are minor, there are differences.

With BMW-s economy you really have to push to get the max.
I have the F10 520d, I get a motorway average of 65mpg (had up to 69mpg. I get this by using eco pro mode, cruise control set to 70mph, plan ahead and most importantly switch your tyres from runflats to a decent pair of reinforced tyres.

I like the level of detail you went into with this car along with having extra videos for very specific things (like the infotainment system, for example. Only thing I wish was that you went into talking about the driving and handling just a bit more. Otherwise, review was top notch. Cheers!

Have it as a loner. Really don-t like it. When you brake the automatic shifts down and you will feel like a jojo. Than the matter of me being 190cm so i am looking at the B pillar all the time. Getting out and in is a real strugle threw the tiny door opening.

This one was a lot better than the original e81. that car was awful. had the 120d and 130i. they were fun to drive but build quality was so poor. after I sold the 2nd one I went back to an E46 which I still have to this day

I had a manual m sport 120d and the pedals are so offset (Clutch is central to the wheel) I had sciatica and so much pain driving it! Absolute terrible design! Had to sell it after 3 years of pain and bought an Audi s3
