Ford Kuga 2021 review - the best Ford yet?

This is the all-new Ford Kuga! Ford has completely redesigned their mid-size SUV, and they've got competitors like the Peugeot 3008 & Volkswagen Tiguan in their sights! The question is, does it offer enough to stand out from the crowd? Starting with the exterior design, it clearly looks very similar to a pumped-up Ford Focus - but that's no bad thing! Not only that, but it comes with a slightly-sloped roofline and real exhaust pipes as well! When it comes to engine choices, there are more than enough options available. The petrol range is topped with a 1. 5-litre turbo petrol to deliver 150hp, while the diesel range is led with a 2-litre turbo which can put down 190hp! However, the hybrid model trumps them all. With a 2. 5-litre petrol engine coupled with an electric motor, it can deliver 225hp and travel up to 35 miles on just electric power alone! So it looks good, has got a great range of engines, and with a starting price of just over -24, 000, it's affordable as well! So surely it's the must-have family SUV of 2021, right? You'll have to keep watching to find out!

I've had problems with the 12V starter battery going flat, which means the car has a total power failure - no way of opening the door unless you use the emergency access key in the fob but then, of course you can't start the car so you need a jump start, which means opening the bonnet which is not easy bearing in mind that the passenger door can't be opened to release the bonnet, as the passenger door needs to be fully open; the bonnet can be released by fiddling around with the lever whilst lying across the front seats and groping around in the footwell. The bonnet release mechanism needs to be positioned or redesigned so that it can be operated in the event of a power failure, or else put manual locks on both front doors to allow them to be opened in the event of a power failure.

I just bought a used 2016 Ford Escape Titanium ecoboost 2. 0 (Canada) and I have to say I am disappointed with the fuel mileage. I had a 2009 Ford Escape Limited 4 wheel drive 3. 0 and that was hard on fuel and a whole lot of other issues. I was promised by the Ford Dealer that the 2016 would be a lot better. I do love the features of the 2016 as it is fully loaded. I am just disappointed with the fuel mileage. I can only get 300km city driving on a full tank. I think this will be my last Ford product. I would really love to get a Audi SUV but that will never happen as I could barely afford this 2016 Escape. Disability payments suck from a work injury.

It-s great to hear how good it is -BUT- can you get one the answer is -NO-.
I ordered one in June and it-s December now and It-s still not here.
Ford uk have told me there-s no build date for it either and don-t know when it will be delivered.
Now in the beginning I was told three months. So think on if you want one your in for a very very Long wait.
If you-ve got the money you can get a custom built Bentley quicker.
My final word is Ford have a lot of brain power working for them and to say -I don-t know-what it will be built is shocking.

Just wow Ford. I-m a big fan of American cars, I-ve owned Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Chevrolet and Ford and i can state with confidence that non of the brands mentioned can keep up with ford, engine wise and reliability and toughness with awesome features, now the other brands have their own good and bad features but after 4-5 years of daily drive in a really hot temperatures area i can state that Ford is such an awesome brand and it is reliable more than you can imagine.

I bought a 2021 Kuga. Love it. But the tow bar electrics don't work! Factory fitted but Fords won't fix it. Pin 9 not wired. Pin 9 activated my on board safety device for the caravan to prevent swaying and jack knifing, but fords have disabled it. cannot us caravan. Ford say its a design feature, WHAT are you having a laugh. I have a caravan sitting on my drive not able to be used because of you. Ive rejected the vehicle, see what happens now?

Never understood why you'd pay for a kuga vs Mazda CX5 or similar cause the engines, quality and style of other cars is far superior to a Kuga.
New Ford styling with that front grill is hideous, absolutely disgusting and is basically a car for old people with no idea of trend or fashion lol.
I do like the alloys however but the engines in fords are anaemic and eco friendly nonsense is a turn off

Shocking car, I've owned one since last September, done just 1, 700 miles in it, total battery failure twice, AA out twice, been in Ford garage twice. And today 'Safely Stop Now' warning came up on dashboard. I've got absolutely no faith in this car. Seriously regret buying it. And oh, don't bother with the FordPass App either. that's just as shocking as the car

This is another Good Classic FORD Hybrid that are made by Toyota powertrain with HSD system. Probably 90% hybrid components and battery are still made by Toyota/Aisin/Panasonic. A good deal especially for used market. Ford has long history of HSD hybrid since Ford Escape, Fusion, and some others that now are used by Police in USA.

Have have a 2019 st line Ford Kuga ATM and I don't think I will be renewing my lease with Ford. I'm just not sold on this. Its smaller and that's disappointing for me. I might be going for the peugeot 3008. Will wait and see what January brings when it's time to place my order: )
