Well this vehicle shouldn't be name. DISCOVERY. Looking at the design it don't have any resemblance from the original discovery. I always associate LAND ROVER. as tough. Rugged Square utilitarian vehicle. Mercedes keep the G wagon. Till today. It is fine to do it on RANGE ROVER. BUT not for DEFENDER + DISCOVERY.
This new DISCOVERY does not seems appealing anymore as a LAND ROVER. With this pricing. and design. I rather. Go for A TOYOTA FORTUNER. MITSUBISHI. + Other Japanese or Korean made Suv.

Worst car LR have ever made. Terrible design. Looks like a Sangyong Rodius from the side, and from the back! Invalid car. Hardly see any on UK roads. Im no fan of bling SUVs, but if you are going to lease a car (which most people do just to show off, better off getting a Merc or Audi SUV or something if youre not going to keep it beyond three years. The last shape Discovery, at least it looked rugged and capable even if it was unreliable junk.

Why pay that money for the Disco when a Hyundai Santa Fe is also a seven seater, more reliable and gets most of the Discovery kit as standard? Badge appeal I suppose, but if you look at this objectively Land Rover are ripping you off with crappy kit and probably questionable reliabilty. I always like their designs and hope for the best, but have known too many people who just want to torch them after a few years of unreliable ownership.

The best car Land Rover has ever made. Really. But nobody notices because of the rear. Which is -so- sad.
_A great, truly greatest, car Land Rover has ever made spoilt by Gerry McGovern's stubbornness. _ Will they learn? Probably not! Gerry, you see, is more attune to customer requirements than me, seemingly. It is -us- that is wrong, you see, assessing the design of that rear. Yes folks, -us! -

i had the opportunity to drive my friend's HSE, the only thing i didn't like was the throttle response and the VW-sounding engine from the inside. strangely, the exhaust sounds a lot better from the outside
the interior, although rather nice, is quite plastic-ky. the plastic shift paddle even rattles. i like the semi-rudder feeling plastics on the dash instead
the exterior. eh: /

It seemed like he had just consumed a lot of caffeine before he made the video. If you look closely his hands were shaky, his voice was fast and trembly, many times he had pacifying movements to relax and many other things indicated that his nervous system was altered. Coffee is good but too much coffee is not.

I liked the form factor of the LR Discovery up to the Discovery 4 (L319. But the Discovery 5 doesn't, for me anyway, have the famous -Landy Look-, it's too radical a form factor change and it's less distinct from the competition. If I had a choice between the 4 and the 5, I'd choose the 4, the last of its kind.

No need for a roof rack tent just need a single blow up bed and you are all good because this boot is completely flat and can store 2 weeks of clothing, hygiene stuff like your shower jel, tooth brush, toothpaste etc and store 2 weeks of food and your cooking equipment.

People moan about the new exterior vs the old one. I think in todays world the older one with the boxy features resembles an ambulance not an SUV. And the new outlook is brilliant, especially the the overhanging back. To me It is the most beautiful car on the roads today.

mat was definitely biased during this review. like he complains so much when he finds cheap plastic in a Japanese car thats worth 30k pounds and considering this car's price the build quality is not rlly great i would go for a bmw x7 or a lexus
