Sadly I took your word on how great this car is. I bought the 50 TDI Black Edition. I have never been so disappointed in a car! I'm now stuck with it for 4 years! The throttle lag you don't mention is horrendous. I know I should have driven one first, but I didn't. Conveniently my local dealer hadn't got one and I needed to change my car. It's an Audi and I loved my A7 3. 0 TDI, this has more power, must be a safe bet I thought. I took CARWOW and the other reviews word for it. Not one mention of any lag. I have added throttle tuning but makes little difference. I prefer driving my wife's Mini Countryman!

Lovely car. But. My 2012 Mercedes C Class has a swivel wheel and a screen integrated into the dash. Works great. Then, everyone started going to those -iPad glued on the top of the dash board- screens. Not good. Now, it seems they're getting away from that (thankfully) but these touchscreens. I dunno: They are fingerprint magnets and, as Mat said, are not nearly as easy to use while driving as a swivel wheel. Not saying I wouldn't buy a certain car because of this, just an observation.

I seriously dont get touch screens in cars, there is too much instability for you to be able to successfully press anything. Unless you're always driving on a perfectly smooth motorway you just miss buttons or try to be gentle and move the volume up only to hit a bump car goes down, your finger goes up and max out the volume and then your wife shouts at your for making it so loud!

Hate those fake exhausts and the same goes for other cars which have them. The touch screen controls look a nightmare to operate whilst driving. Overall looks are good but I think the E-Class estate or the BMW 5 estate look better - and that's is coming from an Audi A4 driver who likes the look of his Audi (but not their SUV models)

Jeez, that lower touch screen. Don't like that at all. Imagine fiddling around with a screen with thick gloves on in cold winter mornings. I'm obviously fine with the main touch screen but I will never buy a car that requires you to use a touchscreen for air conditioning, seat heater, window defogger etc.

Anyone who likes the new a6 has no taste. As some1 who likes Audi the chrome strip in these new cars are ugly and the new Mercedes are also getting uglier. If the rs6 gets this chrome strip that will be the biggest let down. The 2015-17 rs6 will always be the best looking estate

Too many touch screens in cars at the moment. Look flash when new, but a nightmare to keep clean (fingerprints) and they will age quickly, ounce they are scratched, you're stuffed.
Hopefully just a fashion that we will get over like the digital dashboards of the 1980's.

I hate the touchscreens. Less usable while driving, less reliable long term, a finger print magnet, and overall just not necessary. I think BMW is really winning by sticking with their interior design over the years. Yeah it's probably over 20 years old, but it WORKS.

I have to say, I-m not a fan of the interior. It may be high quality and look modern, but Audi-s excessive use of screens makes it look a bit weird and doesn-t seem very practical to use while driving. the exterior is amazing though.

Can-t believe it-s even legal to put climate control that far down. Similar with the S4/S5. I nearly ran into somebody taking my eyes that far off the road trying to read the temp and fan speed.
