This is the all-new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo. The 6 Series GT borrows some of the best elements from BMW's vast range of cars, whether it be the practicality of the 5 Series Touring, or the luxury and space you'd come to expect in a 7 Series. The question is, have BMW managed to tie these different elements together to create another best-in-class car? Find out in my latest in-depth review!

Sadly BMWUSA stopped importing the 640i into the US for the 2020 model year. It was offered here in 2018-2019 but sold badly and quite frankly there was no good marketing effort put behind it. This is a great car as it is based on the G30 5-Series sedan/saloon. Think of this car as being a 5 Series with extended wheelbase and a hatchback.
Too bad Americans are more infatuated with X3 and X5 SUVs that don-t offer the class, refinement and elegance found in the 640i sumptuous cabin.

Great and honest video! I have a 530 GT LCI xDrive M-power and I love it. The exterior looks the same as this 6 series. It is a unique car for those who do not want SUV vehicles but likes bigger car. It has enough torque and power and fuel economy is good but not as good as my previous 520d. The engine runs at very low RPM and it looks like it is going to last forever. The GT boot looks big but still not as big as 5series. The motorized boot and panorama roof are fancy features too.

Hi Matt, the reason you had excessive tyre noise was the size of the tyres - you said you had 19inch, but the M-Sport you are driving has M-Sport 20 inch wheels and the back tyres are even wider than the fronts, therefore a hell of a lot of rubber in contact with the road and it follows, more noise than standard 18 inch tyres. I own the M-Sport and I don-t mind as the car is fabulous as it-s -all cars to all people- in one.

I drove 430i with automatic transmission and 258 KM in Denmark and I loved the car and suspension! Infotainment system is not perfect, good luck to those who want to switch off active sat nav- real headache, also on reverse gear some alert pops up instead of cam rear view, each time I had to press stearing joystick to deactivate it- mega annoyed with it. Apart from that the car is awesome! I recommend

This was a surpringly bad review that completely missed the point. In Korea where BMW rules, 640i GT defines the class of its own: a touring family car that accomodates 3 regular-sized humans in the back seat, golf bags for a foursome in the boot, that is not a truck, not a station wagon, handles in all weather, and bolts 0 to 60 in 5. Find me another like this and we can start comparing.

I rented for two weeks a full option 2019 630i, and was truly impressed how comfortable it is on long drives, and how well it looks; it really grows. The inside is very nice, especially at night with a very well executed mood lighting. I have 5 series myself, and often drive the 730, but the 630i is for me the best of the two, and my next choice.

I don't think it looks bad at all. It's just a little less exciting than all the other BMWs, because this is practical and not sporty. Which is boring.
But trust me it's a lot better in person. Already seen some on the road. It looks a bit like a lowered and less beefy X6 to me, especially the back.

wow the sun roof dose not open much and the rear centre armrest is not pretty user friendly most of all mileage is darn bad considering the engine which is a straight 6 unlike the kIA stinger gts which has a v6 and cost like 15k less

I drove a 640i M-Sport today and I was very pleasantly surprised. Its fast, doesn't feel heavy and has excellent ride quality. It looks much nicer than 3- and 5-series GT. It also looked gorgeous in that Red Burgundy color.

Bmw 6 GT is the best for speed, luxury & space! The adaptive suspension is outstanding soaking up every speed bump. Perfect car if your looking for a estate chassis space but a coupe look. All round car -
