So I recently got the Arona, FR, automatic in the deep red with the black roof/mirrors and I must say I really prefer the trim on the FR to the excellence. There's more interior leather and soft touch areas and even ambient LED lighting. The dual turbos on the FR also make it a nippy car (my last was a 1. 6 diesel focus and the performance is almost identical, 0-60 is supposed 10 seconds but I clocked one run at 8) you'll never struggle to merge in traffic, and can easily beat a lot of cars at the lights and, dare I say, it even feels a bit sporty (though obviously, this isn't meant to be a fast car. In my view, other than a few bits of extra tech, there's no real reason to go above the FR model if you're considering buying (I mean no offense to anyone who has the excellence model - you still have a cracking car. I think its literally a case of you get front parking sensors? Maybe even a rear camera? But it really isn't worth the extra cost (again in my opinion. When looking at the version Matt is driving, it has that weird fake chrome interior all over the dash, FR has a stitched leather - just a more elegant/stylish model (in my opinion. I definitely recommend the car if you're looking to buy, and being VW/Audi group means that the engine is reliable and it (should) retain a good price down the line.

Recently bought a 17 plate Seat Leon 1. 8 TSI with 18k miles on the dash. Unfortunately, between seeing it and collecting it, they've dented the rear wing. Drove the Leon for a week before I took it back to fix it. They provided me with an 69 plate Arona 1. 0 TSI, with 2k miles on the dash, as a courtesy car.
The 3 year old Leon is 10x as better quality and fun wise. Ignoring the fact that it's a 1. 8 vs 1. 0, the Arona feels extremely cheap. Everything rattles, every bump you hit feels like the car is about to break apart. It's neither small, nor big, just awkward.
The Leon looks and feels quite premium, while the Arona feels really cheap.

We got this car as a replacement car for our mercedes E class that was in the garage (because someone bumpt to it. And I will never understand why someone would buy a car like this. The plastic in the inetrior is just crazy. There is nothing fun about this car. Just a car to get you from A to B. Instead of buying this brand new, you could buy with that amount of money a nice second hand German car that is more fun to drive, has a beter interior and has more road precence.

I would NOT buy a SEAT of any kind, I'm on my 3rd new SEAT in 6 years and I recently had an issue with my Ibiza Cupra where the drivers seat was rocking on it's internal mechanism. The car is just over 2 years old with 24, 000 miles and SEAT do not want to know and will not repair it under warranty and say it's 'normal' yet all the showroom cars seats and the passenger seat are solid and don't rock. Never again will I buy a SEAT, the service is ZERO.

How on earth has this guy made a living out of talking about cars. lol they there the worst car review ever.
They only show the top of range cars never a basic cars. Not everyone can afford the top of the range cars. Show some real cars that people can afford. If not someone will and your carwow will be called notwow and all them pennys your making. will end up in someone else's pockets

Had a 1. 0 115bhp one as a hire car in Spain for the last week, done about 1, 000 miles in it. Must admit I-m very impressed indeed. Pretty comfy, ergonomically spot on, can get two suitcases in the boot with room to spare, surprisingly quick, getting over 50mpg, handles really well and it-s enjoyable. Difficult to see how it could be any better really - I-d like to try the 1. 5 version.

I love my Arona -
Mine is desire red with a grey roof - technology se automatic
It drives well is spacious and I get around 52 mpg at the min I expect more once it-s run in - I-ve only done 600 miles. Highly recommend this car - it has lots of extras you-d normally have to pay for. very happy with my new - beats my Citroen cactus hands down!

Cant decide either the 1. 0 ecotsi 115 or the 1. 6 diesel. i mainly drive local (20-40mph) but sometimes i carry passengers (full car) and then once a month may do the odd motorway drive (leeds to manchester) not sure how the 1. 0 ecotsi will cope with the weight and distance or should i get the 1. 6 diesel

i like these videos but sometimes a little generic and personal preference at the expense of information can take over. But at 1: 55 surely the jump to LED lights are worth a mention to go up a trim level. Overall I'd shortlist these videos!
