We took the GLB out for a test drive this past weekend. We also drove the Hyundai Palisade. Personally, I found the Palisade too big for me. I like the room, but I don-t feel comfortable driving huge SUVs. We also have an elderly parent living with us. So the height of the vehicle has to be taken into account. I think the GLB checked off all the items on my list. First, the car does not feel like a big SUV. Second, it-s the right height- you don-t have to climb into the car. Third, I have a short reach (not tall person) and not having to lean forward to access the touch screen was a big plus. MB offers (standard) a kind of mouse pad right were your right hand (US) rests. So I can access everything without having to move from my driving position at all. MB also offers like a Siri OS for the car. So you can do a lot of things via voice commands. Fourth, the 3rd row seat option means you don-t have to get into a larger SUV in order to get extra seating. I felt comfortable driving it and I though the handling and shift transitions were very smooth. I think MB did a great job with this vehicle and we-ll be leasing the GLB within the next couple of weeks

These vehicles have become nondurable consumer good. They are built to last 2 years and then fall apart. They make them look cool and plastic they use skeuomorphism to its ultimate and they lack quality to become -vehicles- these are not means of transportation that you can rely on anymore. They are filled with gimmicks for misleading masses into thinking that this car is premium while in truth at least %90 of these cars are just plastic toys. Mercedes dont even use its own diesel engines on most of the cars even. They are all about design and none about function reliability. I am asking you one simple question. You are stranded in your mountainhouse with a horrible snowstorm outside nearest speckle of civilization is 400km away your loved one needs medical attention for some reason and there are two vehicles laying in your garage. Land cruiser and a mercedes or bmw suv. I wouldn't bet my life on a german car.

I think is very targeted at the US market as the GLA is too small for most people (over here anyways) but might not want the GLE. Compact SUV(think this, Mid-size SUV (think X5, compact sedan (think c class, mid size sedan (think e-class, and full size pickup truck (think Ford F-150) are the things that sell the most in the US, I think Mercedes Benz is making a model to suit the US market. There are a lot of GLB's on the road over here all things considered (Mercedes isn't the most popular over here)

It looks way too much like a MINI CUV/SUV with a Mercedes front and back, interior is typical Mercedes, seriously, can't wait to see the new interior design language for the next-gen S Class, because this interior is dated, sorry, but basically, putting the current S Class digital gauge cluster and info system, in very Mercedes Class, makes the more expensive models feel less special, but, everyone's doing it, so, clearly, the GLB Class will pull sales from the GLC and next-gen GLA

It-s the perfect Mercedes-Benz.
My grandfather is going to buy one, he told me because it-s easy to get into (at least in comparison to his current E-Class) and smaller, cheaper model with more space than for example an GLC (also in the trunk) because of the spacious method of construction. (And GLC would be a competitor for his current E-Class since the GLE is more expensive than his base model and you already have more space with a SUV.

I love the GLB, it looks very nice. I am just wondering, is this the same architecture as the Nissan X-Trail and Renault Koleos? Especially the third row, seem awful alike the X-Trail third row. On top the strategy with 2 and 4 wheel drive is also identical to the Nissan / Renault approach, just like the X class of Mercedes, is this another joined car produced in the same factory?

Do car companies still develop gas and diesel cars? That-s sad. Why would you buy a car that restricts your access to city centers? I am sure that soon enough diesel will be completely forbidden in cities. Enjoy your 2020 GLB then.

I wish they will release a version that uses the traditional longitudinal mount 45/55 4matic while maintain the same interior and exterior design in their next GLC release. Then I will immediately dish out my cash.

does anyone know how much cubic feet/inches/centimeters of space there are in this SUV? I've been trying to find out on the web but am having no success, it seems they haven't released this information yet?
