If it were for the safest cars out there that take into consideration the following criteria:
1- Not limited to a specific year model.
2- Not limited to a specific segment.
3- Still affordable by most people.
Then surely Subaru would come first despite being a small company with not alot of engineering staff,
yet it's one of the most underrated companies. Also the IIHS tests are just as important as NCAP,
especially the application of small overlap crashes,

Are you actually serious. This is not a matter of which cars are reliable, it-s a matter of which cars YOU like. I have been in a Tesla model 3 before and it broke down 5 minutes into the journey. Any Volvos? No. I own a 10 yrs old Volvo XC60, and it hasn-t broke down once. I have crashed it before, I admit that, but that doesn-t matter because it did nothing more than a scratch. And no, I-m not flexing. That car is currently worth only 10000 pounds.

my friend crashed his brand new mercedes while driving from london to scotland. he was operating the apple carplay when he hit a small rock, spinning him into a wall, his fingers hit the screen and he tells me the song he clicked was called -better luck next time-.

How come the Octavia wasn't on this list when it did better than the Scala? And it's a good job the Tesla is safe to be in when it crashes as it probably will when you stick the autopilot on.
