This is the new BMW i4! -OK, it may only be a concept, but from what we can see here, we-re hoping there aren't many changes before the official unveiling! The all-electric i4 comes with a super modern & clean interior, and it-ll be powered by a single electric motor that-ll pump out 530hp! It-ll hit 0-60mph in just 4 seconds, but is it enough to turn you away from a Model 3? Stick with Mat to find out!

Here-s a question for you Matt, what will motobility do for people who are disabled, for instance, my son had 320i, when it came time to change we-d thought go with the same, but in the interim the base price had gone up three grand, so, Motobility dropped the 320i saloon etc, but you could get the 2litre Petrol in an X2, what Will Motobility do when EV are the norm?

Tesla Model 3 can also drift now. They did a software update which you can transfer torque to only the rear wheels. Just like Rimac has since the beginning. But now Tesla model 3 can be made in a RWD drift machine aswell. So sorry BMW. Give us something special. You haven't given us anything untill this moment. Why are German Engineers so bad these days. WHY

The tesla charging system is really needed here in Nor Cal. 80 miles north of San Francisco there is nearly zero charging for non tesla! Same with tahoe and Reno, only tesla! You seriously can not drive any other electric car to Reno except a Tesla. The Tesla stations are almost always available too because they always put in way more stations then needed!

The Tesla range is EPA while the BMW range is WELP which is always 20% more unrealistic. So we have slower performance, quasi range, slower charging and I'm betting waaaaay more expensive. BMW does throw in one ugly ass grill for free so there's that. I like the color but the Germans need to look up the definition of aerodynamics.

It doesn't really seem fair to compare a car that has been on the market for some time with a concept car that might be this way or could end up being that way. The label concept car almost guarantees all ideas will not be in the final product. Stick to released models that are available or compare the illusive cars of the future.

The grill houses countless sensors. It is also surrounded by blue LED lights that clearly identify t as a BMW, so that tesla drivers looking in their rear-view mirrors at the car flashing at them to shift their piece of shit out of the way can instantly recognise a real car coming and do the decent thing and yield

Matt, a true Tesla beater does not just have to beat Teslas on range, performance and efficiency. A true Tesla beater has to give a prospective buyer the same charging infrastructure as Tesla. As public non-Telsa charging in the UK today is rubbish, I don't think we will be seeing a Tesla beater before 2023.

Overall it'll be a better quality car than a Tesla and won't have thr shit Tesla service issues either.
Plus, the supercharger network is moot for most people. Public charging is going to be irrelevant in a few years when everyone. including condo and apartment dwellers can charge at home too.

That design looks HIDEOUS on the concept 4, but on the i4 it looks really good. But lets all be honest here, this car will not have the advertised range, will not have the performance, will have a higher price, and look very differentl from its concept. BMW Concepts NEVER sees the light of day.

Ugly huge grill that serves no purpose. I would instead just outline slimmer grills with trim, but not fill it with black plastic. In other words, just put a hint of the classic kidney grills with shiny outlined trim and leave what-s inside that outline the normal car color surface.
