Money doesn't buy creativity, morals or the understanding of proportions. Chinese don't see copy as a problem, they only think is copying the picture, but they don't know how is actually done PROPERLY. This applies not just to cars, but pretty much everything in the society, they have zero interest in creating something new as it comes with the risk and the exposure of being seen and evaluated. They spend billions on copying, building factories to produce things that others tested and got perfectioned.

The most embarrassing thing as a Chinese person is the fact that the Chinese PRIDE themselves with this. Faking and the art of deceit is almost like a national sport. Stealing, cheating, counterfeiting. Its a thing over there.

Worst? Because you are jealous someone can buy almost same for much times less money. If your originals aren't so expensive, clone factories wouldn't exist. Same is with cars, same with cell phones. In my home country (Serbia) there are many chinese phone brands which are prohibited in USA bcs they are copies. No one wants rivals, apple doesn't like idea you are having choice to buy good phone from china for 3 times less price. Same is with expensive cars.

No one wants rivals, apple doesn't like idea you are having choice to buy good phone from china for 3 times less price. Same is with expensive cars.

Btw I had I BJ 40L 5doors one and I drove it all over china mine was the 3. 0 T and it was great - no complaints, I did over 60000 kms in 1 year and not even a small problem. So I have to defend it against Jeep I had a gladiator here at home and I got rid of it after only 5000 miles. I'll go for a BJ 40L over any jeep.

Even if i agree with copies are disgrace! I wish you mention this trend doesn't star in china it's been like this and car design patent is complex

I sure as hell wouldn't want to drive a Chinese and that goes twice for the electric ones.
I remember how one of those got into a very minor accident and everybody inside it
got incinerated when the battery exploded like a napalm-bomb.

You would be surprised to know that Geely (the Rolls-Royce rip off) owns Lotus and Volvo (including Polestar) since 2010 and they work with Daimler/Mercedes-Benz producing the components for Smart Cars and similar for Honda. Are you buying a Volvo? -
