Do you have around -85, 000 on your next car? Then look no further- We-ve brought together the BMW M3 Competition and the Porsche 911 Carrera to find out which car you should go for! When it comes to performance, both of these cars easily offer more than enough! Starting with the BMW, it-s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six which can deliver 510hp & 650Nm of torque. It-s RWD, and BMW claims it can hit 60mph in just 3. 9 seconds. As for the 911, we-ve only got our hands on the entry-level version, but its 3-litre 6 cylinder twin-turbo can still deliver 385hp & 450Nm! Just like the BMW, it-s also RWD (obviously, and can hit 60mph in 4. 2 seconds. So, the BMW costs -87, 000 (with options added, that is. The starting price is -75, 000, while the Porsche starts at -83, 000. The question is, if you could afford it, which would you go for?

Porsche! I drove one with the H-6 and its a gt3-911. I love it. Ive had American Shelby mustangs, 5. 0-s, and last car was a HellCat-. took one drive in the Porsche and realized what I-ve been missing my whole life. It has a tune, titanium exhaust, custom forged Sport-Touring wheels 30- wide rear tires. She also came with the roll cage that Porsche offers. All upgrades by Porsche but the tune, and its just as fast as a twin turbo v-8 or supercharged street car bc it-s SO quick and controllable off the line and around corners. For example i can take the Porsche thru a corner or turn at 45-50mph on turns/corners the BIG HellCat could take at 20-25mph-. gotta love that German engineering

Love the Porsche! The 1st and 2nd owners are gonna love it too. But the unlucky 3rd owner will be the one who has to do a Full Service on the Car. And for that, the Engine will need to be dropped to change out critically worn parts including those steel 100K iridium spark plugs. So they better buy it right.

Bmw front has really grown on me. Think when Dodge came out with the new gill design in about 93. Everyone was like -wow that-s different- then every single track had that style of grill and we thought it was amazing. I think this will be similar. However, with electric cars grills won-t be needed so who knows?

I find that the tire noise on my 911 GTS is worse in winter than the rest of the year. Maybe something to do with humidity on the roads in Portugal. Great review but must say that when you're comparing two cars, one is -better- than the other; best is for over two items. Porsche is always the best of all cars.

Man, can't wait for m3 xdrive review from carwow! Yes, purest will always pick rwd version but for us who lives in snowy country, xdrive makes more sense. Oh, I really want to see xdrive m3 drag race bigger rivals like rs6, e63 and I bet m3 xdrive will trump them in stock form.

Stability control? Surely you mean traction control because I can enough smoke pouring out the back to warrant a fire trunk, however, it's still perfectly stable --
Maybe foreigners should consult English speakers before coining idiot terms for their options.

Pointless comparing the practicality as BMW is not even a sports car as it can only be registered as D segment (for compact executive car) whereas Porsche 911 is registered as S segment for Sports car under the category International Standard ISO 3833-1977

It's amazing how good a base 992 is to drive. such a fun car to drive with the rear engine. Porsche has done such a great job with it's most iconic model, and it's actually quite comfortable to drive around daily. Congratulations on becoming a dad!

I don-t think you can compare the two cars because you have a top of the line track M3 and a base 911. Get a carrera s at least
Update: just finished the video turns out you don-t need a carrera s Porsche is still just a different breed

I-ve never really understood the concept of a -daily driver-. I really have no interest in having some badass car that sits in a garage 6 days a week. I-d rather just drive it everyday and eventually get a new badass car when need be
