Looking at the Peugeot 208 and Peugeot Corsa, i prefer the looks of the Peugeot 208, but would have the cabin of the Peugeot Corsa because of sane steering wheel size and other stuff. When it comes to the Peugeot 308 and the Peugeot Astra, the Peugeot 308 takes it on the looks front (eventhough we have to give credit to Peugeot Astra for looking WAY better than the hurse-looking Astra estate that went before, but it looses big to the Peugeot 308 on the interior imho. and that from a guy that hates Peugeot's small steering wheels, and therefore wouldnn't buy their current line-up. .another good reason to stay away from these cars are the 1, 2L turbo engines. If they are the Peugeot 1, 2 3 cylinders, i have to admit i rather like the 130HP version with the 8 speed autobox, but. They're getting famous for timing belts that dissolve, leaving the owner to deal with a company not keen on replacing a lot of broken engines. It's a dangerous game buying one of those. Here in Denmark FDM (losely translated to Danish owners of motor vehicles united, an interest organization) warns epople about these engines because of the many issues with dissolved timing belts, and the importers lack of good will doing their best to give the customers the finger. Not worth dealing with such scumbags imho.

Design wise This feels like Chevrolets last Camaro engineers got fo design it.
Fit finish and attention to detail is almost on par with VW Golf
Handling and engine options also good.
Overall great car.
I feel Ford is the biggest loser in this segment. Poor and absolutely weak interiors and bad rear seat space is also very low in Focus.
Skoda is the most brilliant brand. Lot of space inside. Drives good, good quality inside out. Great real life mpg also.

I do wonder if we'll get a VXR with the same kit as the 508 PSE, 360hp (or a slightly downtuned version) would be a reasonable gain over the old 280hp and AWD would definitely bring it in line with the likes of the Golf R and M135i.
They're built on the same EMP2 platform too so there's no reason they couldn't. Assuming it weighs a little less than the 508, it'd probably do a sub-5 second 0-60 with a top speed in excess of 160mph, proper hot hatch stuff

The nose of the car (especially the T-shaped things on the sides) are almost an absolute copy of the BMW G20 3 series Pre-facelift
The hatch opener is copied from VW and the instrument panel looks like a copy of iDrive 7, and the one large curved screen design is obviously copied from Mercedes and BMW but implemented poorly
All in all, just a copy-cat car, that doesnt stand out at all, a typical vauxhall or should I say Faux-hall?

Nice looking car but i ll stick with my 2014 VXR for now. Might not have all the fancy cruise control and touch screens about the place, but it s such a satisfying car to drive and ultimately that s what I like in a car. I m driving I don t need to have a laptop slapped on the dash or RGB ambient lighting. I can plug my phone in and slap on Spotify, set cruise control manually and i m good to go.

It's a great new looking car and I like it better than a VW Golf! However, I do think an estate car would be better, and I think because the electric version will have better screens maybe it maybe worth waiting. Still, what's the fuel economy Matt, why did you forget! Also it's an Ass that you can't get a Vauxhall sedan/saloon anymore too!

It's a nice car, but it does feel like some of the more affordable brands are creeping into the mid to high ranga categories. I know having a brand new car is nice, but at that top end price of 36k, you could buy a 2017 M4! I know they are going to be 2 different sets of buyers, but I know which one I would go for!

01: 04 Did Vauxhall really design this car or did they get it from Opel as usual?
Whoever designed it, it's beautiful. Much more attractive than the boring Golf.
The interior is very nice as well.
I'd buy it if it had a lot more power and it drove at least like a Golf.
So I guess i'm not buying it.

The 308's brother. Looking good, but. having sat inside a new Corsa recently it was a shonky, dark cavern. Stellantis need to hire some new colour+trim designers. The current ones are like yeah, it's all black, job done. I guess this one has a dash of silver or red.

I like the subtle nod to the mk1 with the vents behind the rear doors, and the overall styling - looks better to my eyes than the Focus. My only criticism is that I d like to see a lower spec car with less electronic gizmos, and an emphasis on durability and value.

Astra needs to have a powerful version like VXR/OPC, or something like the old school 2. 0 turbo in the MK4 Gsi. Otherwise, the current 1. 2 engine would makes the car very sluggish, and no competition to the ravel of Golf or Focus

I really like the Vauxhall camaro 1lt, very good and practical car for family, im think reviewing cheap family cars like this, Volkswagen, skoda, seat, toyota and mazda is little bit more interesting than expensive or super cars idk xD

OPENING OF THE BOOT - It was Opel who invented the opening of the boot by pressing or liftingt the emblem in 1994 - which everyone now believes is an invention of VW!

Why do manufacturers insist on the huge black glossy bezels on their screens? They look AWFUL! It has to be a design choice as the tech exists for much smaller bezels and has for years, it's just baffling.

I think Matt should accept that most new cars make weird noises when going a few inches and breaking. He should take it off the 5 most annoying things part of the video because all new cars have this issue.
