Of course Hilux did better. Yianni did not have any experience at all and Hilux is on the normal tires but Ranger was on the off-road tires and it still managed to gain same points with the Ranger. Its a win for Hilux for sure.

Side steps have always been useless in off-road all you need is simple rock sliders to protect the side skirts and that is it otherwise the whole test is crap it never a fear race which is better

This isn't serious. You cannot possibly compare an offroader with an auto to one with a manual. No sensible person drives an offroader with a manual. This test caused me substantial infuriation.

At 07: 50 i would gave the same amount of points to both of them. when its that close you cant really say the Ford won, could clicked a milisecond early on stop etc.

The Hilux s reliability and durability is the stuff of legend as tested by the Taliban, Top Gear and more recently by Whistling Diesel. The Ranger is still unproven.

Considering the Toyota also had more weight and worse centre of gravity with the tent on top and the ranger had better off road tyres the Toyota did extremely well.

The Hilux running on standard HT tyres more than deserves the win. Those tyres on the Ford are such a HUGE advantage on these muddy conditions.
