i had the pleasure of tearing down a blown n/a version of this engine and swaping in a used one. then it seemed like a great pice of enginering. But recently i had to change the power steering pump on that s6. i had to take the bumper off take the whole front off including headlights then pull the left axle out pull up the engine and undo the left engine mount to do it. shit like this makes you want to kill yourself when on other cars you do it in best case scenario a couple of minutes unlike almost two days that it took me to do that here. Oh and if i didn't have the swivel-head ratched i wouldn't be able to do it at all so there's that.

Also, just to get this out of the way. The engine in the RS6 is not from the Gallardo. The C6 S6 has the Gallardo engine. This engine shares more parts with the V10 TDI from the Touareg, including block and heads due to the increased pressure from the turbos. (Yes, people have twin turbo'd the Gallardo V10, but this is a production car with warranty)

Matt i need to correct you a little bit, the engine in this RS6 is not from a Lamborghini, it's a 5. 0 litre V10 and it's build on a engine block from a Touareg V10 Diesel with some components from Lamborghini, the car with the Lamborghini engine is the Audi S6 with a 5. 2 Litre V10 engine: )

Hi Mat. Can you please make a video like this on the RS4 b7. I know there are lots of them in the UK. Some of them supercharged too-. The car is also getting more and more expensive as time goes on. Make a true tribiute to the last manual V8 in car manafacturing.

To be honest, the -Adaptive Air Suspension- of the C6 is crap. Would be definitely not my choice, not in an A6, not in an S6, and definitely not in the RS6. Ride this car with a proper suspension, and you'll discover a whole new world, i promise. ;-)

Is it correct that the engine doesn't need to coming out for that oil seal replacement? I think mine needs it done. I bought it with a bad oil leak: / would be nice to not throw huge money at it

I beg to difer -8 mins it-s not a Lamborghini Engine - Audi made it-s own V10. but People thought it-s the Lamborghini Engine what made it more popular. AFAIK Lamborghini used a 5. 2 L V10

06: 03 M5 E60 Bearing rods -cough cough. Truth is, these cars are expensive to fix right now. I can only imagine current M cars, AMG cars and RS cars would cost in the future.
