Whether its a Ford Transit or a Ford Econoline, you could call any Ford van a Supervan From shagadelic E-Series conversion vans in America to the ubiquitous Transit cargo vans in Europe, we remind you how awesome these unassuming work and family vehicles really are

I love donut but gotta correct summit, sabine did not do that time in a stock van, yes the setup is stock except the hugh amount of weight they removed from the van, hammond couldn't ride along as he added unnecessary weight plus they took the passenger seat out and jack, hub caps etc, even sabine took her belt off for any extra gram saved as i recall, and they used a dodge viper to help make a slipstream for it, So the word stock cant really be used as lightening is customising it, And the worse thing about transits here in the uk is the security (well most fords in general got better after around 2005 but still not awesome security, in top gear they showed a bloke breaking in thru the back doors, i can tell you they make it take alot longer on purpose for tv, you can get one of those vans unlocked with no damage, still in full working order in litrally 2 seconds, take's the same amount of time as the key, and dont need a bloody hammer or specialist tools, And the early immobiliser's were a joke, the fixed code transponder setup wernt bad (id4c red cap on key) for the time but all the early ones did on the diesel's was cut the 12vdc to the fuel solenoid on the injection pump, one wire from the battery and immobiliser disabled, but being a less electronic controlled engine less things you can disable to prevent start

Ive got a Chevrolet express diesel van with the 6. 6 duramax in it and I love it. Please please please Ford bring out the cans like they used to be in the 70s and 80s these new ones with the high roof are fugly and top heavy and the suck in the wind. This is why I still have a gm cause there the only company left with a proper van in my opinion

You should do a series were you (or like everyone on dounut) drive cross country in one or a couple ford transits and like stopping at some cool places and chilling around campfires during the nights. That would be sick

If youre looking for a piece of shit to break down after 200, 000 km then yeah go ahead and buy one. Ive driven multiple transits as a delivery driver. They got regular maintenance. And the crap boxes still died.

I spent majority of my 20s touring around the lower 48 in an E350 8 passenger Ford van with 7 other dudes. So many miles of memories in that van. I feel sorry for whoever got that van after us.

Some of our duty vehicles were after-market converted AWD/4WD Econoline vans. and man, I took some of those places I couldn't get a Tahoe to go. surprisingly good, and decent to drive.

Transits make great ADV vehicles. Especially with the new AWD models from the factory. I've been planning on building one and throwing a motorcycle and garage in the back for like a year now.
