Napa is where you go to buy parts. Nappa is leather. And I think a big portion of the purists for the E30 are the new investor types that jumped onboard when the prices started skyrocketing, hoping to recreate the air-cooled 911 nonsense. Fifteen to twenty years ago when a normal-miles E30 M3 was 10k or less, barely anyone would be purist-mad about an engine swap into one, especially if it was still a BMW engine. Very nice work on that machine and props/congrats to the build team

MY 325i BluE30 could smoke any M car out there, yo I will tote my 6 cylinder M20 with the 3. 1 stroker and Miller MAF kit and dominate the local SeaTac area of WA and amaze the E30 community. My 5 speed knows duh s, homies My brothers and sisters of the BMW community unite with their 5 speed iX and clone E30 M3 cars and put to rest all the other Subbies and Mit EVOs and kick ass and chew bubble gum All hail BMW and the beloved E30. MOW POWUH

Toxic purists are cancer. Literal. Holding back evolution, progress and growth. Spreading their toxic minds to influential minds, stunting the entire community just like real cancer. Real purists, appreciate history simply prefer and love the nostalgic 'old' but still encourage innovation to improve technology to not stay stuck in the past. Applies to all aspects of life and culture.

What racing team starting from a blank canvas. designs a brick? The 50's and 60's car designs. without the aid of a wind tunnel used curves they figured were aerodynamic. Of course most cars of that era were bricks I suppose. Awesome vid nonetheless

I hate this thing. Why would you take a fairly pristine example of a good working, low mileage piece of history and change every part on it when they could have just as easily bought a wrecked one or just made that 325e look the same. Total waste

This is such an amazing build. I personally would love to get an older car and build it. Always been hesitant though because of how much work goes into a build. This shows that hard work does pay off. Thanks for inspiring me Awesome video.

How tf can you drive a car with a different engine legaly on the street? I mean, when you go to the yearly control check, they see, like hey, this is not the original engine man. Or is america still living in the middle ages?

Oh please, enough with the hyperbole. In no way did This BMW Build Just Changed the Game. It's nice enough but there are a shit-ton of awesome E30 builds out there and many superior to this.
