I once saw a posting for a 98 m3 for 3k and from the photos though huh not bad. It had a few scratches but nothing major and actual photos of the inside that didnt look half bad pretty much what you expect from a 20 year old car. Pulled up to take a look and this thing was filthy like it hadnt been washed in months. Figure a quick car wash would fix it so not too much trouble. Went to the door of the guys house and this huge fat dude in nothing but boxers comes out Im like hey we talked on the phone about checking out the car and the dude was like I dont know what the hell your talking about. So Im like the m3 and hes like oh you were talking to my son. So he goes back inside and yells at his kid to come out. This 20 year old crack head looking dude comes out and we start talking about the car he mentioned that the engine needs some fixing that wasnt in the ad. And then he ask if I want to see the interior, I couldnt see it due to his illegally dark windows. He opens the door and this thing is stripped bare like everything from the back seats to the headliner, even radio and speakers. Im like dude this isnt the interior from the photos and hes like yeah thats from a year ago when I tried to sell it before. I tell him no and he gets pissed off hops in his car starts it up and it stared to make the worst noise ever like a grinding and whining noise and as hes driving off all I can hear I clunking and a straight piped exhaust. Definitely dodged a bullet there.

When I'm selling my cars, I also add in tons of humor into the ad. Like. When I sold my 96' Volvo 945 Classic Turbo, I was going all out on how much of a piece of shit car it was, and how the seats were killing my back, But I also added truths between the RegularCarReviews Rants I did about that back-killer, And the results. One train driver from Boden (A city in north Sweden) bought it. before that, alot of people loved my ads, how humorous they were. I even tried to sell my Volvo 740 that I own now, but. I have change of plans for it, to try & build it into a NASCAR-styled Sedan(If you know any way of putting Nascar Steelies & slicks into the tiny wheelhouse of 740's, please let me know, my wheels are 225/45/17 currently installed)

What's the best way to sell a crappy car with one or two known problems that are not cheap to fix? If you sell it to a private party, you can be honest, and they'll pass. You can act dumb, and you're screwing the private party. Or, you can take it to a dealer as a trade-in, and the absurdly low value they quote you isn't too far off, considering it's serious issue(s. Then there is the junk yard. My local yards give maybe 200 at most. Anyone got better ideas? Thanks.

I been looking to drop a 1997 4. 7 truck engine into anything. 80% of people don't have titles they don't have good photos. I'm mainly looking for a roller. But theses people don't want to put a little extra effort. Like removing old posts. A lot of them want 1000 for a roller and they aren't parting it out. Why a 1000 that's crazy they must like looking at the truck/car eveyday. I just thought of it I'll go look through the parting out cars to see if they have titles

76 Gradunza with beautiful patina and a great running 6 cylinders (out of 8) A total of 3 extra custom windows added in the fenders and quarter panels (with a little rust around the windows edges) perfectly shifting 3 speed (out of 6) transmission. Awesome antique dog hair seat covers. Custom moss garden on the floorboards surrounding a custom highway surface viewing port. Too many awesome things to list Must see to appreciate. No tire kickers (no tires)

Nolan i live in Pennsylvania and the rust on that truck would register as non existent up here. Because its minor. You california guys are spoiled lol just saying. But i think that women was just hoping the person buying it would be super clueless. Also love the video bout time someone address this problem so maybe people wont try an screw people over as much or at least they wont appear to cause they dont know what there doing. Good job bro.

I agree with having a good listing with a detailed description broken out but major area of the car with LOTS of pics but if there aren't good pics or description then you need to control your emotions and assume the worst especially if its been listed for a while. If its only been posted for a few hours or day then it might be a deal that nobody has scooped up and worth looking at if you take off the rose colored glasses.

Today I took hour and a half drive to what seemed to me a good bike for just the right price. It had a lot of pictures and the only flaw mentioned was registration. When I got there I was furious. Just like in the video, the closer I was getting to the bike the worse it was. It had multiple issues and it looked like crap. Pictures were probably taken when it was new. I went home mad.
