The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S (992) is the ultimate 911 -- and today I'm reviewing the new 992 Turbo to show you what I mean. First I'm going to take you on a thorough tour of the 992 Turbo S -- then I'm going to drive the 911 Turbo S and I'll show you what it's like on the road. Steve: The ultimate 911 is the RS version of the car Secondly the Turbo and Turbo S are absurdly fast such that its worthless in real life. Who thought that the last gen Turbo S needed more power? Who are these people? After owning a 991. 2 Turbo I traded it for a GTS. Its got less HP but its a better drivers car. Most people who own these cars never track them nor have they ever seen 130mph let alone 155-175 or anything like 200mph. Its about riding around in a Porsche. Look at meIve been tracking my cars for 20 years and have invested a fair amount of money to learn how to Max my cars performance. I cant exploit the full potential of my GTS which I admit. Im convinced that you could max this car out at 170 and no one would know until a reviewer tested it on a track as 99. 999% of owners will ever push this car to 170mph. Spending money on something that you dont use is a waste of money. If you drive a 911 like an MX5 then buy an MX5. For real car guys its a great deal as the 991 models decline in price. I bought my last Turbo from an investment bankers wife. She never hit 90 in the car as I knew them for 15 years. Buy a 911 with a carfax that says it was owned by a woman who put low miles on the car but serviced it like clock work according to the paperwork. Its amazing what you can get if you know how to shop for these cars. These are not Ferraris or Lambos They are produced in good numbers meaning that they are not going to be rare but are going to be good. There is no shortage of 911 models in any large metro area.

I know about how Doug is NOT disseminating the Virus (he spelt out his newest reviews from April 2020 on are PRE-VIRUS, as in months ago, I know about his QUIRKS (the Washington Nationals t-shirt he has sported on top here, but the Georgia DOT giving those WRX-named plates to a NON-SUBARU DEALER (those belong to a dealer or to Porsche itself) is SACRILEGIOUS(8: 16) NEW FROM REMINGTON AND PORSCHE DESIGN The new PORTABLE PORSCHE SHAVER, the best of BOTH DESIGNS in a small, compact razor.

I'll get skewered for saying this, but I'd rather a Honda/Acura NSX. becuase it's still a very very very usable daily supercar, just like the 911 Turbo, with 85-90% of the performance. and importantly it LOOKS like a supercar. It's arguably a more modern vehicle in terms of tech too. Also, the cabriolet REALLY dilutes the look of the 911, especially more modern ones which are bigger and less curvey than previous generations. 911, must be a hard top IMO.

Fun factor not a 10? I mean, this vehicle is one of my first purchases the day that I have all the money to spend. So I don't know what you're talking about. All that it's missing for me is an all-day electric option (hey, that's just me, leather-free interior, and autonomous driving. I wish for this car to be Tesla'd up. That'd be my perfect car.

Cue Scotty Kilmer: An endless money pit as it ages. Although let's face it, these cars will be on their fourth owner long before they reach 100k in mileage. And probably sell for a quarter of its original price. A toy and status symbol for the rich, I guess I'll go wash my 10 year old Kia now.

Dough, the whole point of the GT3 and GT2 are not based on luxury, or tech. Its all about connecting with the car and the road and unplugging from reality (hence why they offer them with no radio or air con. that being said, theres no way I would spec a GT3 with Racing Buckets.

I have zero desire to own a car that I have no access to see the engine or do all the maintenance myself. I always thought Porsche knew their enthusiast owners are the same. I know many classic, vintage Porsche owners and they wouldnt let anyone but themselves work on the car.

Hey Doug, I speak for myself when I say this but I think your videos may be getting to be to long. I prefer your older videos where you were very in-depth but still in a timely manner. Still a great video. But Im my opinion it would be better in the 10-15mins range.

1ST IMPRESSIONS within the first min of video: 1) the folded roof lies super flush with the rear of the car and barely sticks out noe, 2) the rear engine side vent looks puny and ridiculously small for the size of the car almost like it was an afterthought

I appreciate you listening to the feedback and going back to the old score walkthrough at the end Doug. I read that you take some flak for it all the time because people don't understand it, but I really appreciate you putting it back in for the hardcore fans.
