The Dodge Neon SRT-4 Was a Cheap, Fast 2000s Icon

The Dodge Neon SRT-4 was cheap speed -- and it was an icon of its era. Today I'm reviewing an SRT-4 ACR to show you what made the SRT-4 special, and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of the Neon SRT-4. Then I'm going to drive the Dodge Neon SRT-4 and show you what it's like on the road. *TheVoxOfReason*: Wha? Just yesterday, for no real reason, I searched for SRT4 reviews Now this pops up. Strange. Anyway, I was a young adult when these came out and I liked them. I think this is a future collector, if for no other reason besides so few survivors existing.

In Europe, a lot of cars have electric front and manual rear windows. For example, my new Renault Clio doesnt and its not the base model at all. On the other side it does have Lane keep assist, Lane departure warning, front collision warning, android auto and a wireless charger from factory. Still I love it beaucause I never get to ride in the back

Let's be clear: Dodge Neon's are utter pieces of sh-t. Having said that, the SRT-4 was a pretty sweet car and held the FWD record at the Nurburgring for a short time. Also the complaints about the trunk liner and coverings? Those are just sh--ty pieces of plastic that would rattle with that Kicker. saves weight, and rattling: D

I don't see why it would be an issue to have manual (crank) windows in the back. I doubt any owners of these cars cared. I have them in my current car and frankly, if the passengers in the rear complain about having to manually open the window, they can Fking walk

Doug, the rear seats actually did have a cup holder. If you open up the center console all the way to the point that it's 180 degrees open, it has a cup holder built into the inside top of the center console lid that the rear passengers can use. Goofy but true.

I've never said this about any of your videos before but I find your Doug score to be way too generous. The car is cheap fun but not much else. You get a bit of go fast, nice seats, and ok stereo. The rest is basically a 300 pick-a-part car.

Not to make excuses for Chrysler being cheap, but since the only people who could fit back seat are kids, I'd rather them have crank windows- you know how annoying it is to have a kid playing with power window switches constantly.

Neons were a hoot. Even the base models were a blast to drive for the class, for the era. Internet faux Porsche snobs will laugh at these cars forever but many of us autocrossed and hooned the hell out of these cars and we loved them.

So many annoying memories of being harassed by 16 year olds wanting to race when I had my Z. Im driving my mother to the doctor, please chill kid. They were relentless and persistent and a magnet to any slightly sporty car.

Unmodified and unscathedUm, I don't think those are the original rims there. Also I'm so glad I actually stopped watching on my PS4 to comment that only to also laugh hysterically at the Doug is the guy. comments
