FOR MORE INFO ON THE SYCLONE AND TYPHOON: I think the GMC is going to be worth a lot of money someday -- and here's why. Gennaro Lombardi: Wow. Awesome Truck brother My Daily Driver is a 1987 Chevy Blazer S10 I got a Big American Flag on the back and get thumbs up and questions and likes all day about my truck. It is hard to believe that the trucks I grew up in and was knew when I was a kid is now a classic car. I def feel old at times. but you know what. Our Era was a great one. Good work and I like when he said, I like to keep things as stock as possible, because they break less that way. SOO TRUE, and that I how all my cars are.

Both the syclone and typhoon were underrated power wise as when tested they both sat around 330 hp (gm did this as they didnt want a light pickup and suv out powering the corvette Camaro and firebird of the time) Ive never seen one running in person saw one in dismantling yard once wish i had the money i would have bought everything off it that was there to add to my 92 s10.

My blood runs Ford blue but my dad and I ordered two Syclones before these were offered. Doug acts like he's never seen dash controls that are proven to work or that everything new is better. I like that the owner wouldn't let him drive it alone, but if Doug came across as a guy who changes his own oil he may have. I'd never seen one in white before. very nice.

my dad had a syclone (the pickup version) and it was amazing. it was so ahead of it's time. super fast and awd. he refused to let me have it when i turned 16 and sold it to buy me a super duty 550 dump work truck instead. my brother in law's father in law (i know lol) has a marlboro edition syclone that's 1 of 10. thing is amazing

A childhood friend used to own in the same year and color of the Typhoon. It was a really fun car to drive around. We used to dust those rice rockets all over town and most COPS just pulled them over and not care about us in the Typhoon. Even Jay Leno still kept his GMC Scyclone that was daily driven for years.

If you have ever ridden in one of these, you know with a small amount of work, these are SCREAMING fast trucks, even stock form, these trucks would shame most anything on the street when they came out. Every once in awhile gm will build something rediculious and this was it, grand national was another.

Doug the only reason I watch your show is because you review cool cars the way you review them though and youre working knowledge of a lot of older vehicles is garbage that being said I still enjoy your concert I will continue like all your videos but I will continue to be an asshole in the comments LOL

Yeah, I already knew the Typhoon was the earliest sport SUV. A BLAZER, more than a Jimmy, Doug. But, not the first. That honor goes to the (drum-roll please. The 1986 Lamborghini LM002, a four wheel drive, four door, SUV, sporting a 332hp (Countach Lp500qv) Lambo V12 engine. Ah'thank you.

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in. i owned typhoon # 2008. now known as ugly duckling. just wanted to say these trucks stock were literally bullet proof. now the most you have to worry about is old rubber vacuum lines. if you buy a stock one you have one hell of a daily driver.

This SUV was faster that the pickup version. AND it's much fast than 5. 3 seconds 0-60. It's actually 0-60 in under 5 seconds. The Syclone and Typhoon are beast on the road and is faster than almost anything GM, Ford, or Dodge made at the time. Evan Corvettes.
