BARRY HABIB FOR THE CAR JAKE HABIB FOR ORGANIZING This 2017 Ferrari 488 Spider costs around 350, 000 -- which is a lot of money for any vehicle. Here's a look at why it's worth every penny. Jay Lestingi: He is so non-technical, and the more videos of him I watch the more apparent that is. The Huracan MOST LIKELY sounds better because A) it is one of the only normally aspirated supercars left. NA cars usually sound better due to the sharp bark of high compression, more aggressive cam timing, and no turbos muffling the exhaust sound. B) usually a v10 has a better aural signature than a flat plane v8 like Ferrari uses. Flat plane or 180 degree V8s can be thought of as two inline 4 cylinders put into a V shape--and while they sound exotic they don't usually sound good. An 90 degree or tradtional American V8 usually has a more pleasing albeit uneven sound. What is DeMuro's reasoning that the Performante sounds better? It has got a larger engine. Sigh. I am at the point where I have a hard time taking him seriously. Add to the fact that EVERY 300K European car to him is the greatest car ever---he is blinded by the social proof of expensive cars.

one thing reviewers NEVER mention. the driving position on exotics ABSOLUTELY SUCKS imagine sitting at home in a chair, now move both legs right a foot or more. regardless of what anyone might say, the position is three things. 1) uncomfortable. 2) uncoordinated. 3) distracting as your brain has to continually compensate. anyone who says otherwise is, to put it nicely, a fool.

This is a car It has four wheels, four seats and a roof. Now, that is what I call smart thinking This thing was built in a factory, in Germany and it has rear mirrors; two of them: German engineering at its best. The value of this car is only going up, and it doesnt even make espresso. Ah, the Italians And it is completely red, I mean, red Now that is attention to details

Why do you never freaking push the horn in any of your videos yes we know you flash the lights no problem but pressing the horn to see what it sounds like you dont do that you really should because its a beautiful car and if it has a very sissy horn no thank you Ill have to get myself a custom one like the Dukes of Hazzard

But you said the naturally aspirated 458 was not different and the turbo was nothing special? I get they are both fantastic How can you better than the best? They ARE both great cars My 1998 TA was fast, and the same year Corvette was equally fast, both were great. I can't stop watching your videos

How is it that Fiat, which owns Chrysler and Lancia is ruining those brands pretty much but Ferrari's are better than they have ever been? BTW. That is a really cool, simple and well engineered retractable top and the roll down rear window is awesome too.

Great video. I love the humble and thankful nature of the owner. I also like to see Dougs face when he gets on the power. You can see hes genuinely thrilled, like a little kid and you can try to imagine what driving such a special car must be like.

So is there turbo lag or not? Ferrari got it right with going for twin-scroll turbos rightaway, which they claim results in throttle response times of 0. 8 seconds apposed to 0. 7 seconds in the naturally aspirated 458. So? As good as NA?
