This is just me personally so keep that in mind before you start flaming but I'll always prefer a manual over an automatic. I'm Old School and will always be that way. If I have to have an automatic give me one of Aisin's 4 speed transmissions over one of these 50 speed jigsaw puzzles. Cars have become so needlessly complex now it isn't funny. It's almost alarming to think that nuclear reactors are far more simple and easier to design than modern cars are.

YEAP> and Scotty, just as the Japanese have blown the American (so called) company: H/D. out of the water. and now, they're going to be going out of business again, like they nearly did back in '82, when Ronald Reagan had to BAIL THEM OUT WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS. you know so MANY Parts that are made for H. D. come from Singapore, Mexico and other countries? Check people, yet you're paying so MUCH for your SUPPOSED: American bike. yeah right!

Easy fix, you put it on sport to accelerate you put it on economy to cruise. I don't know why the vehicle can't just do that on its own? The faster shift is easier on the transmission in the first damn place. And there's no reason for an economy car to have 8 gears. All you're doing is putting more gears that have less clutch packs so the transmission will probably wear out faster especially in the two gears that it takes off in most

Scotty, purchased a very clean, garage certified Nissan Almera, it was 2007, manual 1. 4, it only lasted a few months, randomly blew head gasket and timing, did the guy selling it lie by not telling me something I needed to know. It seems a very quick demise for a car that engine bay looked spotless, was there a cover up by the seller? It was approx 1200 lasted barely 5 months.

Toyota has always had great reliability but I'm impressed with Kias comeback. They used to make some very cheap dull looking cars but now they look pretty sporty and are decently built. I have a 2012 forte with 160000 miles with absolutely no issues. Still running strong and I feel they might be able to compete with Toyota sooner or later unlike ford and GM.

Hey Scotty, you often speak highly of Honda s engineering, especially with engines. Do you think they ll figure out how to make reliable small displacement, turbocharged engines? I know they ve had issues with the 1. 5 liter, but it seems to me if anyone s going to figure out how to make these engines reliable, it s Honda.

Hey Scotty what would be the better buy a 2014/15 Tahoe, expedition or Sequoia with 80, 000 miles not for real hard driving something my wife can use with confidence to take the kids around and visit her parents. The truck would be lucky to see 50miles of use in a week. I would get the minivan but she hates those.

The Rav4 was just redesigned for the 2019 model year on Toyota's new platform. First was the Camry in 2018, then the Rav4 in 2019 and Corolla in 2020. Toyota is working on redesigning their other SUVs and Trucks. Yes, Toyota keeps making improvements to each model as they get refreshed/redesigned
