People on the internet don't give the m1918 tank enough credit. Sure it was an inferior combat vehicle to the Renault, but it was a better war winner. Why? It was vastly cheaper than the ft, using lots of off the shelf car and tractor parts. And Ford was geared up to build 100 of those suckers A Day! That's WW1 M4 Sherman style for ya. And they didn't cancel the order because of its inferiority or cuz the troops didn't like it as much, it was cancelled because of the armistice. Because of this the US stopped building high volumes of tanks all together along with most other countries; . Also lots of GIs didn't like the Sherman but war is a game of logistics and if you can't beat the other guys quantity you better have much, much higher quality and we all know how the second war ended. Great video though, lots of great history!

The Model T looks the same from 1908 as it does in 1926. Henry Ford was notoriously hard headed, and refused to improve the Model T, and come out with an improved version. Any innovation came form Edsel, not Henry Ford. It took Edsel many years to convince Henry to come out with the Model A. By the way the mustang was named after the plane, not the horse.

Another well done easy to understand video from Scotty. It's so interesting to learn that despite dealing with challenging outside forces and the well intentioned but less than wise direction Henry was taking his company in his later years Ford emerged victorious from a position that would have sunk many another company under similar circumstances.

Scotty Kilmer, . you touched on the genius of Ford. and also mentioned some of his faults. though not automobile related, Ford was a known anti-semite. during the 1930's Ford was a big supporter of Hitler. in recognition of his support for the Nazi cause. Henry Ford was awarded the Grand Cross of the German Eagle from Nazi officials in 1938.
