Nice vehicle. I believe Id look into a roof rack so I could carry 4-6 unsticking ramps or whatever they are called, and a Hi Lift jack with the accessory kit. Also a front mount 8000lb+ winch, and a land anchor. If your not familiar, its a plow looking device that you start into the ground, then pull with the winch. Really handy if no trees to fasten to. The harder you pull, the deeper it goes into the dirt. Easy to remove by pulling in the opposite direction. They also make wheel winches, that are basically winch drums that are bolted onto the outside of the wheels. You can then use steel cable or heavy rope on the drums to pull yourself out. Wish I could visit the Outback and ride on your adventures. Cheers

Hey Scotty have a 2004 Isuzu Trooper 4JX1 diesel engine and its just a fantastic car. Ok Ok had a few bits and pieces here and there, worst of em were CPK crank case position sensor and other map sensors. But they got fixed easely. The truck was actually a 5 seater but i added a 6th genuine seat for my 7 year old daughter and is really cool for her size. Anyway, my trooper is far well maintained by me and it just rocks. I drive if from UK and France all the way down, to Morocco. Its a real beast and I love it, man. What do you think of these trucks Scotty? do you like them?

I had a 95 gas powered Isuzu and it was an every day driver. Ours was very durable with no major problems. It was built like a tank not like these suvs today that are built with economy materials and not built to last. Not many on the road out here in the United States back when these came out since people gravitated towards the Toyotas and U. S. suvs. Isuzu ruined their suv line by going with the Ascender which was a re-badged american suv. I would buy the Trooper once again. reliable and solid. Thanks for sharing your suv and nice to see it has a lot of life left.

In north America this Holden Jackaroo is called the Isuzu Rodeo, in Australia the Holden Rodeo ( an Isuzu ) is a ute i. e. pickup, in single cab, extra cab and dual cab variants. I have a 2003 Rodeo dual cab V6 4wd, they have a pull type clutch and my release bearing fell apart, ended up having a complete kit fitted with flywheel machine and new rear crankshaft seal while it was apart. Im not a fan of these pull type clutches, it will be something Ill try to avoid when I eventually replace this car.

I had a 91 Isuzu Rodeo. It was a pearlescent royal blue color. I loved that SUV. It was spacious, very spacious. Great for rougher terrain. I always kept it clean, and tried my best to maintain it. Unfortunately the truck started failing after 390, 000 miles. I was a youngun with no money so i couldnt afford to keep repairing it. I was saddened to let it go. I would take a good Rodeo over my Lincoln MKS any time. Great memories in that truck. You never really forget your first vehicle.

Question for those more knowledgable regarding a 2000 Ford Windstar w/ 3. 8L v6. Error code showing 02 sensor wiring faulty. Cant find information other than the vehicle has 4 sensors running beneath it. What does this mean, and how does this get fixed? Do i replace all the sensors and/or just the wiring. internet is vague and Im tired of the rough idle before warm up.

The winter buttom keeps it in 3rd gear so there is less slip in the winter terrain and the power button would hold the revs at a higher rpm. Also he forgot to show the secret compartment, or he doesnt wanna let people know so the cops dont know. anyway if i though my trooper was slow with the 215 hp v6, i could imagine that diesel lugging around even more weight

Hey Isuzu Trooper I current one of theseThey have very comfortable ride quality. They can fit more passenger than modern SUV at the same class (like ten)4JX1 though make sure theyre well maintained like change oil and always check the coolant: )The cable harness by the ECM do get brittle overtime so Ill try putting a heatshield next time.

The Diesel engine in these had problems with injector pump, also a wiring issue related to fuel pump, there was a factory recall for the problems, however lots of owners had already encountered one or more of the issues and paid a mechanic to resolve them. This model was released in 1997 in Australia and factory recall happened in 2010
