Question Scotty. For starters, I love your videos not just because they're educational but also I'm learning how to work on my own car myself. Step by step I am getting away from the automotive repair shops screwing me over. I recently purchased a new crankcase breather hose for my 1998 VW golf the old one was just jury-rigged until the pipe cracked. I realized the bracket it sits behind is smaller than the diameter is of the pipe itself so I need to grind down the bracket to allow it to fit. Which cost-effective tool would you suggest for the job? I'm not keeping the car I just can't sell it with a broken part. It's unethical. The bracket itself is held on with one Allen bolt on the manifold and the other bolt, the head of which faces one of the timing gears, I don't know who did that or why so that's why I decided on just grinding down the bracket to make the breather pipe fit.

That oil problem happen to me Scotty. At about 150, 000 miles I swapped my old 92 yukon to Mobile One Extended Life. ( Good for 1 year or 15, 000 miles) First thing I noticed that made me nervous was 15/40 weight was thin as water. I had no 0 leaks before but it didn't take a month until they started popping up.
I changed back to Pennzoil 15/40 regular Premium. The leaks didn't go away but I now use no oil between changes.

I rarely see Honda pickup trucks where I live. Most of the pickup truck drivers here like Chevy and Ford (probably because of patriotism you know, because they re American brands. But of the Honda trucks I ve seen around they look really old so I ve always thought they were reliable, more reliable than Chevy at least. I wish more people here drove them they re cool to look at.

I have a 08 ridgeline love it 171k everything still works original ac compressor ice cold you said in one of your video's to stay from this honda i think you are wrong on that one i do respect your comments but those ridgelines are runners like the other honda's also you didn't show the 2 way tailgate and the trunk that doubles as a cooler with drain in it

As for the 4wd system at low speed, that not entirely true. The system will engage the rear wheels when slippage of the front wheels are detected. You can lock the read differential up to 18mph (in low or reverse) and it will turn off over that speed. But to say it has 4wd at just low speeds is false. I've had 2 over ten years. Great truck.

Ha, I told you that a Honda Ridgeline is a most reliable median sized trucks better than Toyota Tacoma. But you ll said that a Honda Ridgeline is like a suv, while a Tacoma has a frame meaning it s like a truck.

Scotty is right: a while ago I bought an old rav4 with 198000 the previous owner only used regular oil. I always use synthetic oil. Knowing the risks I switched to synthetic and one day after a had a huge leak.

As someone who works at Honda. Ridgelines will last a good time if u maintenance everything religiously. If you down you ll regret the 10k bill that you will get for everything that went bad
