That Mazda rattles like mine in the valve train. If a Mazda ain't tickin' it's broke.
I've been driving an 06 Mazda 6 for the past 4 years. 2. 3l 4 banger, 5 speed manual. Got it with 119k miles. At 180k now. Only repairs were a thermostat stuck open and a leaky valve cover gasket. I did have to change the oil pan when a shop destroyed it.
Did all the work myself. Engine was immaculate inside.

My wife just totalled her2016CX5 which we replaced with the 2017 Acura RDX what a pleasurable difference, now we have power andalot of other upgrades. The Mazda had so little power that it was a bit of a joke going up hills fully loaded and passing was a little scary. I ll never buy a 4 cylinder turbo engine ever so the Acura will have to last like Scotty s celica.

I have a 2014 CX-5 AWD (helpful in Upstate NY. Nice car, comfortable and drives well. One problem if you re considering this vehicle: rear differential issues seem to be common. Ours failed at under 48K miles and needed a tow. Fortunately it was repaired under the 60K warranty. For more info see Mazda technical service bulletin 03-002/14.

One of the best decisions of my life: Buying a 2017 Mazda CX-5 GT. Its 2. 5L 186 HP naturally aspirated and returns 30 mpg with AC On doing 70 mph on highway, even though its AWD and EPA rating is 29 mpg. Transmission is butter smooth and yes, I got rear AC vents and it is Made in Hiroshima, Japan.

My 2017 CX-5 Sport is dream to drive. Very economical on gas and very great on long highway drives. Quiet cabin, comfortable seats, and a smooth ride. Well worth the buy for any one looking into a compact suv. My engine is a Skyactiv 2. 5L inline 4 making 187 HP with 186 lb feet of torque.

I'm looking to buy a new suv next year and I've been looking online. I was disappointed that Honda did away with their 2. 4L so that immediately eliminated them from the running. So now I'm trying to decide between the Toyota Rav4 and the Mazda CX-5.

Hard Pass. After reviewing countless electrical and drive train engineering quality issues on the Mazda (CX -5 2016 -2013) its clear to me it s long term reliability isn t as mature a platform as a less exciting to drive Toyota RAV4 or Honda.

The guy with the AC not working, it could be just the high pressure switch gone bad, try to find it, I don't know where it is on the Sonic, unplug it and jump the wires, if it works, your switch is bad, 20 -30 bucks, easy fix.

Well, it's not the first video where you say newer mazdas are good cars.
Also, got a question for ya, Scotty, how do fwd- and rwd-based awd systems compare in reliability and performance? Greetings from Russia.
