hey scotty been watching ur videos for years i love how honest you are. i wanna know your thought of buying a used ford 2008 f150 lariat with 120k miles the 5. 4 engine 4x4 for 9k its in very good shape, i already know all the problems with the motors i know i need to order 1100 worth of parts to make it bullet proof. parts i will change are both exhaust manifolds and gaskets and studs, spark plugs, oil pump, the phasers, tensioners and guides & chains. so i would love your thoughts overall the truck will cost like 10, 700 after changing everything. you think its a good deal. FYI the truck is in good shape im just doing all that to be on the safe side and not worry about anything in the future. thank you in advance

Let me explain the issue. I have a 2013 c class and has the smell. The previous owner always garage kept it and left it unlocked in the garage probably. The blower to dry off the evaporator only works when the car is locked. I cleaned it and always lock my car and now there is no more smell. Also, the system seals itself when the car is off so smells dont get into the car when it is off. Most Mercedes owners garage keep their cars and probably dont lock them Also, the drying system is discussed in the owners manual. if the drying system is disabled it can be turned on with star diagnostics. It is turned off due to batteries dying because of it but really people just have old weak batteries.

The answer is probably really simple but I'm really curious what the problem is: My car, which wasn't sold in the states, was built in 2001 and has a 1. 4L inline 4 engine. Sometimes, when it's really cold outside or it's raining and the engine is cold as well, it doesnt start properly on first try and once it does start, it runs really rough and dies once I stop giving it gas, but the second try always works. But sometimes, while driving, while it's still cold, when I'm not on the gas and it's running low rpm's (rolling up to a traffic light for example) it dies as well, which can be kind of annoying. what could be the reason? Greetings from Germany

Hey Scotty. yes, GM has this feature on all their late models. It's called After Blow (yes, that's the real name) BUT you need to have the dealer activate it or have Tech II or similar. Reason is, in colder climates, mildew isn't really an issue so it doesn't automatically come activated from the factory. I had mine done after I learned on a forum several years ago and it works flawlessly. Right at the 25-minute mark after you shut the engine off (assuming you were using the air conditioner prior to shut off, After Blow comes on for approximately 10 minutes to dry the condensation.

Well it's late but I just couldn't pass this one up. I just got back from a night drive top down on my SL55 AMG. No smell in the interior, only the faint aroma of the luxurious hand stitched leather. Beige carpet is plush and tickles my feet. The super charged V8 is a delight to listen to on this late NH summer night. A shjt box mustang wanted to race so I indulged him. He will eternally remember the trunk AMG badge. Stage 2 (560 hp) The seats are both cooled & heated. And get this, they massage on demand Well. Good Night

Once I drove my friends Mercedes and I felt so vain and disgusting knowing that people were suffering all over the world. How can you justify owning one? People are totally depraved. If the Mercedes owners throughout history had spent the money otherwise the world wouldn't be in the shape it is today. Mercedes executives are busy destroying files faster than the Nazis after losing World War II. The universe isn't big enough to hide all the evidence.

all vehicles do this. and blowing humid air over a cold evaporator coil after you turn the car off will just create more water on the evaporator. what I do (on my Ranger) is wait a few minutes until the evaporator has warmed up after turning the truck off. then, turn the fan to high and turn the switch on (but not start the engine) the fan will blow all the water off the evaporator coil and it will run out and not grow mold.

1 ) Scotty didn't laugh huh. 2 ) I knew a guy that had a Mercedes for some reason Mercedes has irrigation systems this guy is a semi truck driver leaves his car for a week parked wants to drive something nice home one day he gets to his Mercedes and what happened was the irrigation system for water somehow flooded the electronic system in his car and completely totaled it and Mercedes refused to help he did nothing wrong

I Kno a lot of people run ac all day long and night long. its true of most light colored cars cuz they don't heat up as much as dark cars do to dry out water you can't see, and If u don't run the fan by itself or the heater once in awhile to dry up the water that sits in the vents from condensation creates a stink or stale smell run the heater for awhile usually goes away
