Just discovered these videos. Love 'em! Question: Why does the trains/drivers go so slow on departure from the stations? While I admit the passenger trains in the U. S. are not in the same class as Europe's we get the train rolling--then pull the throttle open and we are off and running at track speed. No messing around.

Always so amazing when you are walking to your engine - not a soul in sight. looks so unprotected like anyone could just hop in an take off but i no that is not the case - I am still in awe of your videos - I am from Wisconsin USA and only have Amtrak to compare too Thank you so much

what a superb video. thank you.
i have one question. i wanted to see the exact point, after crossing myrdal station, where the line to Flam goes to the left. it should have been around the 1: 59: 00 mark, but i miss it. perhaps because of the snow!

Is it possible to use a 360 degree movie camera in future videos? It would be nice to be able to scan left and right to take a closer look at the passing country side. Norway. is such a TREASURE. Ive become hooked on this video. SEND HELP. PLEASE!

have learned that whenever the train passes one of those signs with the horizontal bars ion it, he must sound the trains horns, but just curius to know, does that sign also mean that there is a Crossing coming up soon after he passes it?

That section were the river is on the left, reminds me of the New York Central water rout from NYC To Albany NY. Palasades across the river. Back in the day it was a 4 main line track. 4 track main line.

It may sound silly, but I find it hard not to imagining I am piloting a space ship exploring Hoth. I love your posts. The info graphics are wonderful and the scenery is spectacular. Thank you.

I admire your skill level and train handling with all the grades and curves you get tested every time you go to work. The miles of snow sheds and tunnels is amazing. Thanks for a great trip

Surprisingly, North Americans speak with more fondness toward Norwegians than to Latin Americans and there are more than 37 million of em in the US alone. Nice vid, kinda boring winter
