Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
Driving the afternoon commuter from Bergen to Voss and parking the train in the yard. The Longest tunnels has been edited away. Ulriken tunnel, Arnanipa tunnel, Hananipa tunnel, Trollkona tunnel, Hrnes tunnel and Kvlssen tunnel has been clipped. Optical signal information: Rolling stock: Class69 Train stops at: 0: 00 - Bergen 2: 30 - Arna 10: 20 - Trengereid (Diverted track) 15: 05 - Vaksdal 22: 16 - Stanghelle 28: 55 - Dale 31: 45 - Bolstadyri 37: 46 - Evanger 44: 40 - Seimsgrend (only on demand) 47: 28 - Bulken (Diverted track) 50: 52 - Voss ! PS: The reason for the lack of overlays in the video is thanks to the Spectre/meltdown security updates, my dinosaur computer has had a severe performance hit, and is now crashing when lumetri + motion graphics are combined in my editing software. I want to thank Pygmalionite and Carver_Smith for their support on the way for a updated system

Seems all my questions have been answered after reading thru the comments. You didn't engage the warp drive from Bergen to Arna while in the tunnel. ;). Your certified, qualified to drive all the passenger engines. :D. and I didn't notice any reduced speed zone areas. Seems that the winter weather conditions are definitely gentler along the coast where Bergen is compared to inland.
Oh by the way, 11 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze as 10: 17 PM EST. Are the folks in Norway excited?

As always, I loved the video! We got to see some new territory (a little) on the diverging track at Trengereid. I am always amazed at the tunnels dug through solid rock. Granted, when the line was built, dynamite and the pneumatic rock drill were in use but it still had to be back-breaking work! No tunnel boring machines back then!
Thanks so much for the video, HinduCowGirl. Have I watched enough to become a member of your herd? Moooo! Heheh! Have a good one!

I like the tunnels too, but only if they have lighting inside, or if there are occasional openings to outside light, and to see where the snow has blown in. But long periods of total darkness are not much fun to look at. SO, now I guess there will have to be TWO versions of the vids having long tunnels, one with a Warning - Long Tunnels are Included! . LOL!

I also vote to keep the tunnels in. gives this old lady a chance to do some other necessary things if you get my drift. :0) I love all your videos and have been sharing them with my 92-year-old mom who loves train rides. Neither of us will ever make it out of the US, but with your videos, we feel as if we've been on a trip. Blessings to you and yours.

Just recently watched 2 documentaries on Norway and learning more and more each day of the towns you cross thru. Still amazed and loving it all. Such beautiful country and enjoying every trip you have us on. Thanks for the info at start. Safe travels ahead. Looking forward to your next video.

What more can be said but Thank You, HCG! I looked up the elevation of Voss and was surprised to see that my house is higher! We are at just under 800 feet here. Still below freezing with some snow. I really look forward to looking over your shoulder while you blast through the landscape!

Thanks for the video. Fun to go through tunnel after tunnel as long as one can see in the tunnel with little outlets in the side. Total darkness is no fun to watch. Liked the way the camera exited the train at the end. Thought that you would share a cup of coffee at the cafe with us.

I have to put in a vote to keep the tunnels in. I'm always amazed at their construction. I usually have a separate instance of my browser running with the Wikipedia entry for Bergensbanen and I'm always looking deeper to see how and when the tunnels and stations were built.

Great stuff! Those Class 69s really do get up some serious speed quite quickly. That said, I do believe that I read that they were due to be phased out soon in favour of the new Class 74/75 FLIRT? Have you had the chance to drive one of these new beasties yet? :)

Amazing pure sound, feels so relaxing! Is it kind of spring weather already in Norway? Or is it just so changeful?
I was really scared that someone stole most of Ulriken tunnel when started to watch video without reading description.
