Indeed, a nice video, thanks. However, which model train was used, the old or the newly designed train? Much appreciate the design of the recent model. In addition, love the scenic route, especially along the waterways. Wish the video was longer, capturing the entire route, not just excerpts. Nevertheless, nice video.

This is an absolutely brilliant vid! I've got NZ maps on Viewranger and was able to follow the route station by station; a real treat! I see from Tim's list that he covers this route in full (i. e. unedited) in two separate vids. I'm off to watch them now!

Love travelling by train, lived in J, Vile in the 60s, always loved going into and from the city. Now when we go to the UK we often travel up to London by commuter train a great way to travel

I was on the tunnel lowering project and can see the many ground anchors that had to go in before the tracks were lowered. Four tunnels between Paekakariki and Pukerua Bay.

Really enjoyed this Half an hour ride Tim. Is Waikanae on the North Island? I visited Auckland & Wellington in '07 and toured by Cab only.
