Full drivers eye view from Wellington to Waikanae. I tried 3 x full speed, but felt the picture suffered too much, so this time I am trying 5 times full speed. I am still getting used to the Go Pro Hero 2 camera, can't wait for the Hero 3 black to be available in the UK

How fast are the trains in New Zealand really going, in real time? Narrow gauge, yes, but the tracks seems to be in very good condition. 120 km/h? Wouldn't comfortable, tilting EMU's be a good option for the Wellington - Auckland trains once electrification is eventually in place throughout?

On the older trains the drivers compartment was to one side, so passengers had a forward facing view. I just fixed the camera to the window with a suction cup kit that can be purchased for a GoPro camera.
